The two-day Breath of Life Festival will provide a space for smokers in the hope of educating them.

Australian Lung Foundation national chief executive officer William Darbishire said yesterday the Launceston event would attract mostly teenagers - the age group they wanted to target with anti-smoking information.

Mr Darbishire said smoking areas would include a stall and a stand where foundation staff could talk to smokers.

He said the concert would raise funds and awareness of lung disease in general.
