Just when we thought the funny remarks and name-calling has come to an end between Beamz and Deadmau5, the fire has reignited between the two. ‘Beamz By Flo’ company just released a promo video for their ‘technology’, but it seems like their incentive for such advertisement was not to promote their item, but instead as a low blow at Mau5. In case you haven’t been on top of the interactions between the two counterparts, Deadmau5 has been putting the Beamz company on blast for as long as most of us have heard of the company, whether it was in the form of an instagram, tweet, or shoutout during his infamous coffee run. Beamz has made it obvious that this product could be played by anyone… apparently it’s so damn easy that even a mouse could do it. Is this a low blow or just plain ole marketing by the Beamz peeps? It looks like major movie production company 20th Century Fox has given the thumbs up for a movie set to capture the electronic dance music craze and festivals that run with it. The yet-to-be-titled film has a core storyline allegedly following three teens as they try to get into Diplo’s Electronic Music Festival (most probably a Mad Decent Block Party?) Co-written by Adam Weinstock and comedy writer Andy Jones, Diplo looks set to be an executive producer alongside his business partner Kevin Kusatsu, however while the plot is set and the budget has been given the go ahead, there’s been no release date released yet for this movie with lots still to be revealed. The Ultra family isn’t slowing down. Their 2013 schedule found Ultra Music Festivals in Chile, Korea, Brazil, Spain, and of course the granddaddy of them all in Miami. 2014 finds the Ultra family adding two new locales to the mix: Tokyo, Japan, which was recently announced and will include a special “Road to Tokyo” tour that kicks off in December of 2013 with Above & Beyond and Showtek. This morning, Ultra also announced that South Africa has been added to the Ultra Worldwide family, with Pulse Radio stating that this event goes down in February. It looks like Ultra South Africa tickets go on sale on November 1; the Cape Town show goes down February 14, with Johannesburg getting Ultra on February 15. Calling it “HAPPY VIOLENCE,” the fun-loving DJ crew took to Facebook earlier today to show off their official Guinness plaque and give fans the following message: It doesn’t look like the Guinness website has been updated as of yet, but Dada Life had to have had more than 3,706 people in attendance to break this.
