Hi all...

Hi.... My name is Darryl. Completely new to mixing. Bought myself an S4 and some M-Audio BX8 monitors earlier in the year as it is something I had always wanted to do. I have no grand illusions of playing massive festivals. But if a gig in the local pub comes along I wouldn't complain... Although the local clubs are absolute shit, and the music I play probably doesn't fit well.

I gravitate mostly to progressive, electro an a bit of tech house. I also don't mind some breaks and hip hop.

I am always looking for feedback, both positive and negative. I don't really know anyone into this so the online community is all I've got for help.

Anyway, here is my Soundcloud profile if anyone wants to check out a few mixes...

And a couple of my most recent, better mixes.

Cheers

Yeah I will be in on that comp. just trying to work out what kind of mix I want to do. Either another progressive mix like the one I linked in the OP? Or a mix of moombah/electro/breaks bangers?

Got time up my sleeve. Will probably do one of each and then decide which to enter.

Well all the cool kids are doing it....

I was one of those people who posted links to mixes in my intro :gooby:

I haven't created a mix in fuck knows how long.... Long time. But with the move into a new house again in the coming days I am hoping to get back into it with the monthly mixes. Plus, I am sure we are all like this, I like listening to my own mixes. They are after all filled with the music I like. I'm sick of listening to the mixes I have so need to make some new ones.

Reading back this intro reminds me how I got here. @Gandy and I have a mutual friend who was trying to sell some Numark gear and I saw someone (before I knew of Gandy) post a link, suggesting he sell them here. Rest is history.
