KamiCastle Posted November 14, 2015 Share Posted November 14, 2015 I have been messing around trying to mix out of a song. However the part I choose to mix in the song doesn't start on same pharse. Is that acceptable for into/outro mix? what I mean is I counted 5 bars from a point I thought would sound right. is all that matters that the beats are lined up at same tempo and it sounds ok?maybe doesn't make sense I can post up the song and times with pictures later when I get home. LabRat Posted November 14, 2015 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Basic phrasing is 16 bars. 16 bars at 128bpm is ~30secs. If you're playing house or electro genres with a consecutive kick structure you can usually start mixing your next track right from the drop from the track that's playing. AlphaFive Posted March 24, 2016 Share Posted March 24, 2016 If you have loop capable gear you could cut the bass and part of the mids out and just get a loop going right before the main drop.
