I wouldnt bother with Esata as it requires an external power source.-USB 3.0 is as fast as Esata... -It supplies more power than the past, which means It can power desktop size drives without externalpower...-It has more bandwidth than what the hard drives max transfer ability-It IS compatible with USB 2.0 which means it will work anywhere anytime.Something to think about.
