russell Posted June 17, 2015 Share Posted June 17, 2015 The weight reduces vibration and thus improves sound quality. Really helps with the low end but gives everything a bit too f a richer sound. Also good for any records that are slightly warped (obviously not going to work on severely warped ones) to help hold them in place.
