  1. And out of the urban sprawl, came a clanging repetition, too regular to be random, just rhythmic enough to indicate a mechanism, some kind of pulsating, beating MACHINE. And around it, hinting at intelligence: symbols, symmetrical; offset in black relief, burnt, somehow into the concrete shackles. Some sort of insignia, left behind, by the host driving the mechanism, of the ever beating MACHINE. And within it's structure, and amid it's grinding cogs and wheels and pulleys, dispersed through the motions, spread a host of techno denizens, driving and beating and stamping through the pulsating, of the rhythmic techno beast. Into the heart of the driving, beating MACHINE. Saturday 28th September. MY AEON @ 791 Sydney Rd Brunswick SATURDAY 24TH AUGUST 10pm - Late ......... Entry: $10.00 Enclave - Grindland EP [MACH011] Released 26:08:2013 http://soundcloud.com/machine-label/sets/enclave-grindland-ep-mach011 http://www.facebook.com/machinelabel http://machinelabel.bandcamp.com/ ENCLAVE: Australian Techno/electronica producer Enclave (aka Paul Derons) has been quietly and constantly honing his cerebral brand of futuristic techno live and in the studio since 1999-2000 after several years of playing and mixing rock, metal punk and pop bands in the 90’s. (A passion genre wise that exists to this day). He was a regular at the infamous aLive and Morebass parties during the last decade after popping his live pa cherry at Punters Club Sticky Carpet showcases. These gigs were strictly hardware only affairs and were tough and hard in nature but very cerebral at the same time. Things took a turn for the serious production wise after his 1st proper release on If ?Records in 2008 and since then he has released an impressive dossier of originals and remixes on If? as well as many Elektrax Imprints (Gynoid, Translucent) as well as Gaintax in Germany and Pinksilver in Australia amongst others. He has worked with Little Nobody,Berlins 88uW and Krenzlin, Groundloop, Dopamine, Mike Holmes / Dead Agenda (Uk )and Germanys Daniel Lipp. In 2013 his live shows now consist of the ubiquitous Laptop and controller and while his profile continues to build he is also reinvesting much of his time into a new liveset / gigs and more radio appearances. His beloved hardware synths and beatboxes still feature heavily in his studio productions. The Journey continues.
  3. Melbourne’s monthly underground club MACHINE prepares to burn down the house with the hottest, fuel injected, high octane driven techno as we bring you XAVIER MOREL (H229/VX)Nachtstrom Schallplatten /Machine (France) and local line up: Simon Slieker, Andrew Till, Dee Dee & Steven Sakkas. It's not every day the opportunity comes around to stand in the sound of an artisan electronic practioner. Xavier Morel is one such artist that will favour Melbournians with such an opportunity, as he headlines Machine this saturday. Music and art can very much touch us with the essence of symmetry, balance, fluidity, cohesion whilst their counterparts: dis-juncture, chaos, inertia, provide the tension that makes for the through line: Story. No wonder then that Morel, a verteran and simply awesome producer and dj (read the bio below) speaks in such terms. In these days where the distinction between artist and playlist are becoming less distinct, the essence of audio art is becoming distilled in it's import. Morel: "The most important concept in music is not the way you play your tracks but the story you make with them! Mixing and music is my passion and my career. I hope to carry and share this as long as possible!" SATURDAY 28TH JULY MY AEON @ 791 Sydney Rd Brunswick with it’s comfortable dance floor space, front bar /lounge area & outside garden courtyard with open fire place 10pm - Late ......... Entry: $15.00 100% TECHNO ....NO BOLLOCKS!! ------------------------------------ XAVIER MOREL H229 / VX (Nachtstrom Schallplatten /Machine) [France] Xavier Morel's love of electronic music started on a faithful day in '76 when he won Kraftwerk's Radio Activity single at a winter fair.12 years later he was mixing at underground parties in the suburbs of London when one day he decided to go traveling. Amazingly he found his way onto a billing at Kho Phangan's infamous New Years eve parties and then made his way to Japan. Since then Xavier has toured his sound all around Europe, Asia, Australia, the U.S.A and South America. From the late '90s, Xavier produced several tracks on various projects, mainly with Juno Reactor from 1996 to 2008, Prime Suspect, Section X, Eat Static, Fuel, Carcharodon, Megalodon. In 2009 he worked with Virgil Enzinger on the ‘VX’ project and debuted their album ‘Fiction’ of deep dark moody techno on the German label Nachtstrom Schallplatten, He then since collaborated with The Delta on their ‘Vitamin’EP’, and is now is now focussing all his effort and studio work with Shane Berry into their H229’ project with three EP’s already released on Nachtstrom Schallplatten & Australian label, Machine. His production have seen success with the likes of Speedy-J, Dave Clarke, The Advent, Eric Sneo, Felix Krocher, Arne (aka Extrawelt) etc. praising their releases. Xavier Morel sums up his style best: "The most important concept in music is not the way you play your tracks but the story you make with them! Mixing and music is my passion and my career. I hope to carry and share this as long as possible!" His love of electronic music and dance culture is a lifelong unraveling of a techno ball of string; an examination of the dance journey, that most particular undertaking, evocative of inner worlds and old wisdom accessed by the body in motion. The sense of journey he creates as a dj is indicative of this: insistent and intense yet sensitive to the subtle textures which allow breath. The throughline, a mesmerizing and hypnotic drive. Vinyl, computer, controllers, the accessories of the art. Techno, minimal, progressive, tech house: the pigmentation of the soundscape. http://www.monotremes.com/slieker.html http://www.myspace.com/djslieker ANDREW TILL (Machine) Andrew has been at the forefront of pushing creative underground music within Australia & abroad, he was one of pivotal forces behind the Melbourne electronic music community with establishing Melbourne’s first dedicated and widely respected underground electronic label Psy-Harmonics ('92-2010). With a DJ career spanning over twenty-two years playing regularly around Australia from clubs to the major festivals, Andrew has been a regular on the international circuit over the last seventeen years with numerous tours to places including; Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, London, Sweden, Helsinki, Denmark, New Zealand, Germany, Greece, Switzerland, South Africa also including numerous gigs within Japan from the largest festivals & nightclubs including; Ageha, Liquid Room, Womb, Velfare, Nagisa Music Festival, Space Gathering, Total Solar Eclipse festival (Amami-Oshimi) to the most intimate indoor and outdoor venues. Andrew is one DJ that isn’t afraid to experiment with new sounds and is forever pushing boundaries which has earned him respect worldwide. In 2010 he launched his new label MACHINE to focus on the forward sounds of Techno. http://www.beatport.com/label/machine/18275 https://www.facebook.com/machinelabel http://soundcloud.com/machine-label http://soundcloud.com/andrewtill DEE DEE If the ultimate aim of a DJ is to draw people to the dance floor and keep them there, then Dee Dee is the ultimate. Dee Dee’s trademark is to work to this end with such an enduring combination of intensity, relentless precision and ascending musicality, that in the final analysis the DJ’s studying him are as breathless as the dancers on the dance floor. Originally from Perth, with time spent in Sydney and Byron Bay, northern New South Wales, and now residing in Melbourne, Dee Dee bridges the immensity of the country with his touring and in so doing has mesmerised the dance public of Australia with the electrifying skill of his sets. In 1996, while playing in Adelaide, he was approached and convinced to move to Melbourne as head resident DJ for a new club. The deal never came to fruition, but fortunately left the path open to a chance meeting, which led he and fellow player DJ Slack to create Australian party icon Teriyaki Anarki Saki. With 9 years of playing every week at Teriyaki as one of Teriyaki’s resident DJ’s - that’s over 450 parties there alone! - Dee Dee has been able to hone his DJ skills. Dee Dee’s sets are “dancer-focused” and always initiate fierce action on the dance floor. Underpinning his work is an uncommon sense of musicality. Regardless of what style of music he plays, it never stops being damn funky music. With an innate sense of what works on the dance floor, Dee Dee translates the technical into something palpable, real and aurally satisfying: put simply, Dee Dee has an intuition of pure funk.
