Now that you've asked me to think about it, much of the effect lies in the crunchy, sizly atmospheric glitchyness of their music. The closest track to what I like in the kick is the track Breathe, something stellar star. The kick is clear at around 50seconds. I guess it's a pretty common sound for some modern hip hop, though I've heard some extreme distorted kick sounds in some experimental sets.

Does someone have some guidance for the distorted kick sound that flying lotus uses in many of his tracks. It something I've tried my hand at but can't quite get or at least get control over.

Hi there dj forums, I have been producing beats for a little while now and I'd like to start performing with some of the loops I've made along the way. Does anyone have or know where I can find an APC-40 controller second hand. I've noticed a few come up on eBay but they are mostly in the US and often won't post. Any help greatly appreciated.
