    Hey so basically I have been listening to a lot of music and have been thinking in my mind how I would love to mix certain songs, so I have decided finally to jump into the game and give it a go. I'm not trying to get a carrer or anything out of djing I am more looking for a hobby. Anyway hopefully the forum helps out a bit as I have had a look at some videos and spoken to a few mates who dj to try and get a good grip on the different techniques used. If you have any info for a noob please feel free to drop a message as I am open to as much help as possible!

    Thanks guys the replies are much appreciated I think I might give NI a go and see how that goes, got quite a lot of time so we will see how it goes! I studied music in high school (the only subject i went well in) but still dont understand the kits that Dj's use, do you know any good websites or videos to watch? Just to get an idea of what everything means?

    Hey everyone, so have been thinking of getting into djing as a hobby, something I can do in my spare time to keep me entertained! So I have been talking to a few about kits and what not, but I would prefer not to buy anything yet as I don't even know what i'm doing. A few people have told me about virtual DJ and that it is a good place to start and was just wondering if anyone knew any good devices or software that I could use which is cheap but will guide me in the right direction? All info will be extremely helpful! Thanks all!
