MisterMeaner Posted March 14, 2013 Author Posted March 14, 2013 Wazza.I ending up buying the Alesis Perc Pad. Any idea how I set it up with my studio ? The sound it not coming through my speakers when I plug it into the soundcard. Any Idea?Cheers Quote
wazza Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 the pad control is just like all other usb midi controllers ...it has no audio output , only midiok ...to set it up with USB...[ after you have installed the midi driver...if needed ]plug it to your P.C by usb and plug the 6v power...and power it onopen your DWS software and set up the audio sound card you are going to be using now on your pad control , set the pre-set to number 2 { GM MIDI }....The pre-sets are for setting up other DWS ....there a pre-set for ABLETON and CueBass......number 2 is GM MIDI....GM MIDI is like a standed midi..open up a sample rack or drum rack in your DWS .....in the sample or drum rack each instrument in the rack will have a midi note numberset the note number to be the same as the note number in the DWS software instrument you would like to play on the pad..on the pad control you uses the function pad/button and the up and down pad/buttons to change from presets [ midi setting for other DWS's..] to note numbers [what midi note the pad's is set to...] to velocity C [ how hard you hit the pads]..this vid might help...
