Award winning disk jockey Jon & twisted synth genius Matt have been making harsh tasty beats together since high school and were gathered up into the Hospital fold in summer 2002, after a tip off from High Contrast no less. A series of 12"s, remixes and compilation appearances helped to build their diehard underground fanbase. It was 2006 which saw the release of their Debut LP Ghetto Blaster; an epic album of futuristic beats which won instant plaudits from both fans and critics alike and really marked Cyantific's place in D&B history. Remix work and extensive touring followed, with Jon taking his djing to a new level.Recognised in march 2007 when Cyantific scooped the highly prized Best Breakthrough DJ award from BBC 1Xtra - It was apparent that Jon has some serious skills, and he's on a mission to spread the gospel according to Cyantific far and wide. After Cyantific gave a mixing masterclass on Hospital Mix 6 it is now, in 2009, and on Hospital Mix 7 that we grab a sneak of what he has been working on. "Empty Streets" & "Space Zombie" come straight from his studio bunker.Despite his hectic DJ schedule all over the world 2011 has been another big year for Cyantific in the studio. Finding time to produce massive remixes for the likes of Roger Sanchez and Emeli Sandé and also with his own record label releasing the huge 'Obey/Bounce It' 12. This was followed by his Ram Recordings debut the absolutely massive 'Touch me' and the flip 'Get Into It' alongside production partner in crime Wilkinson. Both releases received massive support from all the top flight dnb djs. Cyantific has also delivered another master class in mixing and selection with the '15 Years of Hospital' mix cd due out late November celebrating 15 years of operation for the acclaimed London label and packed full of classics and remixes.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>THE PROTOTYPESAfter an astonishing rise to fame DJ and production duo The Prototypes have rapidly become one of the most recognized names among the 'new breed' in drum and bass. Accredited as amongst the freshest and most exciting talents to emerge in recent years we are pleased and excited to announce the exclusive signing of The Prototypes to Shogun Audio. With a trademark big room sound support for The Prototypes has come from all areas including including Andy C, Friction, Sub Focus, Roni Size, Fresh, Pendulum and more. Off to a great start they were recently announced as one of ATM magazine's 2010 'Leaders of the Nu-Skool' and are proud to have hosted a UKF podcast that's reached a phenomenal 250,000 downloads and counting. Their infections track 'Cascade' has brought them massive Radio 1 support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Nightingale, Annie Mac, Fabio & Grooverider and had also earned them a highly acclaimed mini-mix as part of Jaguar Skills' 'Jag Fest'. All this plus forthcoming remixes on Ninja Tune and Sony BMG, the boys are demonstrating serious versatility. It needed to be a big release to follow up their huge anthem 'Cascade' but when the massive 'Born to Rise EP' dropped on Shogun in October 2011 it tore up the rule book on debut releases. Title track 'Born to rise' smashed raves worldwide and received support from the who's who of the bass music scene , and the anthemic 140 bpm old skool rave mash up 'Taking me over' received massive play on BBC Radio 1 from the likes of Zane Lowe and Annie Nightingale, proving that there is more depth to these boys than meets the eye. With all this going on its no surprise that remix work for The Prototypes came in the form of Snoop Dogg, Ed Sheeran, Avicii & Sebastien & Modestep...scoring them A-list play on no other than MTV's famous dance channel 'MTV Dance'. Sitting amongst the Shogun camp, The Prototypes will no doubt bring a different angle to the current spectrum and are a welcome addition to the shogun family. Interesting things to come from these ones; be prepared for some fatal releases, and even an LP in the near future.Links Cyantific http://www.facebook.com/cyantific?fref=tshttps://soundcloud.com/cyantificThe Prototypes http://www.facebook.com/THEPROTOTYPES?fref=tshttps://soundcloud.com/theprototypesLOCO LAUNDRY COMBO!!Chinese Laundry and El Loco have teamed up to serve you the ultimate combo, kick-starting your night out and taking pre-drinks to another level.
