News Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 LAX Airport has officially updated their marijuana policy. According to the LAX website you can now legally travel through the airport with weed. This has legally been a policy since January 1, 2018 when California passed Prop 64 which allowed the legal personal possession of cannabis with adults 21 and over. You are allowed to travel with at least one ounce of mary jane or eight grams of hash through the airport, officially. This updated policy means that law enforcement officials and TSA will not arrest you if you have weed in your luggage within the legal limit. What a time to be alive! NOTE: you are still at risk of arrest if you travel to a state where marijuana possession is prohibited. View this post on Instagram marijuana for personal consumption. In accordance with Proposition 64, the Los Angeles Airport Police Department will allow passengers to travel through LAX with up to 28.5 grams of marijuana and 8 grams of concentrated marijuana. However, passengers should be aware that marijuana laws vary state by state and they are encouraged to check the laws of the states in which they plan to travel.
