Festival Spotlight: Suwannee Hulaween

It’s finally that time of year again, and no I’m not referring to fall. It is time to return to the mystical swamp that is Hulaween!

Suwannee Hulaween is an annual 4-day Halloween camping music festival. Hosted by the String Cheese Incident and held at the Spirit of Suwannee music park in Live Oak, FL, this fest is nothing short of a transcendental experience. This magic venue is a perfect host for the spookiest time of year, with its brooding oak trees and abundance of Spanish moss.

Hulaween, which began in 2013, quickly turned into a favorite event for people of all ages. Representing a wide range of musical genres, Hulaween truly has something for everyone, and the music is only the beginning. This festival also plays hostess to an abundance of breath taking art instillations, as well as hourly activities throughout each day. As an attendee, you will get the pleasure of exploring the enchanting forest surrounding Spirit Lake. This giant adult playground comes alive at night with silent discos, laser light shows and fire stages. You also have the opportunity to participate in activities like yoga workshops, sound healings and mindfulness. With 5 entrancing stages throughout the entire venue, the music truly never stops.

This year’s event is taking place on Oct. 25th-28th, and is sure to be an out of this world experience.

Get ready to break out your lightsabers and celestial vibes, because this year’s theme is Creatures of the Galaxy, and all are highly encouraged to dress up. With its yearly cap of 25,000 tickets, Hulaween has managed to maintain a more intimate than most festival setting. The vibes of this fest are ideal to make you feel right at home.
