News Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 On October 16, Masego dazzled Downtown Boston in a plaid ensemble and saxophone in hand. Performing songs from his recent Lady Lady album and old favorites from 2016’s Loose Thoughts, Masego’s unmatchable coolness and stage presence were unforgettable. The man is so classy, Malia Obama was even in attendance! It was a night of high energy and groovy jams only a man like Masego can provide. The show kicked off with a stellar performance by girl duo VanJess performing songs off their recent release Silk Canvas: Photo by Emily KhanPhoto by Emily KhanThey’re DJ, a great addition to the girl squad, was feeling the vibe: Photo by Emily KhanThe audience sang along to the smooth vocal silk of VanJess, getting more and more amped for Masego’s entrance. Just an hour later, right on schedule, Masego entered the dimly lit stage, playing the intro to “Tadow” on his sax. The audience cheered as his jazzy entrance set the tone for the rest of the evening: Photo by Emily KhanPhoto by Emily KhanPhoto by Emily KhanPhoto by Emily KhanSuit and tie? More like plaid suit and scarf. From “Tadow” to “Wifeable” to “Lady Lady” and an encore of “Navajo,” Masego brought an energy and coolness to Royale that is often hard to find in a live show. It was a memorable evening, and let me tell you he sounds even better live! The post [Photo Story]: Masego Jazzes Up Downtown Boston’s Royale appeared first on Verge Campus. Source Quote
