News Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 Derek Louis is a solo artist in every sense of the word. A drummer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, he wrote, arranged, and performed all of the parts himself on his debut single “I Wouldn’t Trade.” Derek Louis combines modern pop & singer/songwriter sentiments with throwback jazz influences quite gracefully, and there’s a tender strength in his vocals. He starts at almost a whisper, and then soars in the chorus, inviting you to sing along to this personal tale of learning to move on from heartache. A Nashville resident with Boston roots, the 24-year-old has over 7 years of experience as a drummer for nationally and internationally touring acts across multiple genres, and this is so evident now debuting as an artist himself. He has several more songs he plans to release in a similar fashion over the next year! Check out Louis’s multi-instrumental prowess in his in-studio video for “I Wouldn’t Trade” exclusively on GoodMusicAllDay. The single is out on all digital outlets tomorrow!
