Doctor Werewolf are back for their monthly residency headlining in the Laundry - these boys need little introduction having been residents at the Chinese Laundry for a number of years now, in the past year they have exploded into the mega stars they have always been destined to, mixing the Ministry of sound compilation this year “Sound Of Dubstep volume 3 alongside Bar 9” and massive radio plays for their singles & some very high profile remixes for the likes of Switch & Coolio. The boys have just been announced to headline the Magenta stage at Defqon One - one of the biggest dance music festivals in the world.Headlining the cave we have the mega talented production duo “The Abyss”. Mid 2011 and with the growing commercialisation of dubstep, with its "me too" approach seemingly more and more geared towards keeping the kids' minds stagnant and lining the pockets of music executives, Sydney's The Abyss [known individually as Boot & Sook] made a conscious decision to break from their noisier past, and produce and play the deepest, darkest music they could come up with. Firmly rooted in the eyes down meditation mentality of the true dubstep sound, this new incarnation of The Abyss is proving time and time again that dark bass music still has a home on the dancefloor. When the bubble bursts, the flaky ones will jump ship, but The Abyss, wearing their hearts proudly on their sleeve, are here to stay. The Abyss have released tracks as a team on labels such as Ad Noiseam & Gamma Audio, individually on Requiem Audio, Rottun, Paradise Lost, Terminal Dusk & Gradient Audio and have received extensive DJ support from artists such as Distance, Phaeleh, Scuba, Excision, Riskotheque, Droid Sector, Triage & Antiserum.
