  3. Hey guys, I made a topic a little while ago about wanting to get into DJing and what equipment to get. I got a lot of advice and got told to ask for shipping from interstate on ebay or gumtree etc so I have done so and looked into it. Ive found a CDJ MK3 1000 Pioneer Pro DJ x 1, that I could possibly pick up for $1000, but deal ends really soon is that a good price? Its near new, hardly used and looked after. Also, what does x1 mean? do I need x2?? Thanks guys
  4. Any of these listings look good? http://shop.ebay.com.au/i.html?_nkw=pio ... =1&_ipg=50 http://adelaide.gumtree.com.au/f-dj-Stu ... eQ20Region thanks fackedd, ill have to start asking bout shipping
  5. Haha man, everything thats been linked has only offered local pickup, im in Adelaide so its a no go , I contacted the guy bout the 800s, see how much shipping would cost.
  6. is this the mackie you're talking about? i had no idea what it was, and i searched it on google images and this came up. if thats the case, no you do not want that. Haha Woops, yep thats the one :\ I looked at a few of the gumtree links you guys posted, also the ebay links. Most of them are local pick up only and Im in Adelaide, Australia I'd probably prefer to buy everything as a package to avoid least running around as possible, those pioneer 400's look amazing though, the girl in the tutorial videos that are stickied is using them too??
  7. Im leaning towards the pioneer 400's, anyone know anything about a mackie ppm 8085 mixer? I may be able to pick one up for about $900
  8. Thanks man, I checked that out , much cheaper and probably better because they're brand new. For those that think I wanted the lights and stuff, I don't, It just was part of the package the guy is selling. Are the packs on DJ store better than the one I listed?? I want a pack so I can start with everything I just need help with specifics, I don't know what brand or model perform what functions? Spending between the 1-2k mark is cool with me, but I want something that is gonna be able to perform most / all sounds/ mixes / etc ( I don't know how to word it in DJ talk). Thanks for all the replies guys
  9. Hi guys, I'm new to the art of djing and I love my music so I thought why not give it a try ? It would be my first time djing so therefore first time buying dj gear. Does all DJ gear perform the same functions and mixes, sounds etc?? Im not too sure of the terms used in 'dj language'. Anyway, where is the best place to buy DJ gear from and what do I need? Ive looked at a couple of second hand setups and wanted your advice on them. Here they are: 1) Full DJ setup includes 2x pioneer cdj 800mk2's 1 x pioneer djm400 mixer 4x 12 inch active 400w pa speakers and stands 1x lighting stand with mirror ball with motor 2x neon coloured spot/strobe lights 1 x moonflower dancefloor light 2 x white strobe lights 1 x sennheiser hd25 headphones 1 x usb interface for recording sets speakers cdj's and mixer only a few months old some stuff never used. (Price: Around 3k) 2) 2 Pioneer cdj1000 mk3 decks a djm400 mixer and all the cords. (Price: 2.3k) Does it matter how many channels and specifications like that??? Im not on a tight budget but I also dont wanna go spending rediculous amounts as I might not have the talent, keep the interest. Thanks guys
