Easy Life Just Dropped A Funky New Song “Nightmares”

Easy Life, the five-piece band from Leicester, have returned with another incredible effort.

Since their debut song “Pockets” nearly a year ago now Easy Life have held the bar at a very, very high standard. “Nightmares” is easily their most catchy song to date and includes the rowdy but instantly repeatable refrain of “Who gives a f**k about my nightmares”.

If “Pockets” was light and bubbly, “Nightmares” pops those bubbles. The song keeps with the slow, jazzy, funky, feel that Easy Life have established for themselves over the past year but the actual topics discussed in the music range from insomnia to anxiety to peer pressure. The subject matter is what makes the song even more powerful as it is almost disguised as a fun-loving and happy-go-lucky track, enhancing the power of that “no one gives a f**k” refrain. It’s like the major chords can cover up the emotions, turning the song itself into a perfect metaphor for the topics discussed in the song.

The band is signed to Chess Club records who consistently reach out in search of bands that mix genres as brilliantly as these five Englishmen do. And, if you’re into “Nightmares” you should check out some of their other work. While they only have about a dozen songs under their belt, each jam is a journey. Their recent two song release, “Frank” and “OJPL”, will have you wondering why there aren’t more bands that sound like this.

You can find “Nightmares” from Easy Life on Spotify and Apple Music and follow Easy Life on Facebook and get more information through their website.
