The sound quality degrades every time you play it.It would take a lot of plays to make any audible difference to a record. If you've got your tracking force set high then you will obviously wear away the record quicker as you do when scratching... So assuming you don't play the record to death then it'll be fine and I think it's something like a few hundred years before the record decomposes so I'd say it would last a lifetime. Quote
