No mucking around with this line up , Saturday June 1st Chinese Laundry are proud to present 2 of the biggest electronic artists around ROBERT BABICZ & MARC ROMBOY ROBERT BABICZ (a.k.a.Rob Acid /Acid Warrior and many other aliase) 's musical output is inspiring and staggering. A true one-man operation, he writes, records and performs solo; commanding an ever-expanding touring schedule, tailoring the music he creates to the cities he visits. But that’s only part of the puzzle, Babicz's art is comprised of more than just his music. He films everything. Using his music to open doors and build relationships with people in only the way music can, he then records his experiences and interaction on film, both still and moving, later editing the images together as a picture track to his audio. Robert creates short films that capture the emotions, colours and feel of his trips, his music and the people he finds who want to be part of that experience. In turn these then also have an effect on his music colouring his emotive, unique take on electronica with a very human feel. Marc Romboy: Electronic music with a certain piece of soul - reminiscent of old school Chicago/Detroit dance floor insanity - is Marc Romboy’s true passion. Working in electronic music for over almost two decades, Romboy has co-founded and built internationally respected labels and projects, never tiring of coming up with fresh and innovative ideas to push the limits of electronic dance sounds. Both these artists have performed at Chinese Laundry a number of times & they are always massive nights... this is the first time they have been on the same bill together which means this night will be double massive ! Friday 31st May Laundry has a wicked night headlined by our very own SPENDA C -considered to be Australias #1 Trap DJ, you'll find he's full stop one of Australia's best djs in any genre ! It takes more than just talent for a dj/producer to stay at the top of his game, and span genres like he does. Coming across n artist who juggles a number of aliases successfully, pushes his talents into a collaborative realm and maintains a level head is pretty rare these days. Steve Lind is the guy behind monikers like Spenda C, The Mane Thing and The Hump Day Project & its nights like these where he shines as he gets to flex his musical muscle Second headliner is VENGEANCE who has been absolutely destroying it in 2013!! With 4 years of high-profile club and festival shows behind him and a slew of in-demand international remixes both past and pending, Vengeance has left an indelible mark on the global geography of clubland. His tracks are trusty time-bombs in the record-bags of such dance luminaries as Chuckie, Madeon, Porter Robinson, Pendulum, Nick Thayer, Far Too Loud, Gigi Barocco, Lazy Rich, Lucky Date, Rico Tubbs and Plump DJs. Combining a whirlwind of storming beats, searing techno synths and cataclysmic sirens with moments of stratospheric post-coital melody, Vengeance’s music is lighting an uncontrollable fire on the EDM scene and his career continues on a soaring trajectory that is thrilling to watch. He produces quality music under a number of different guises (Quiet Village, Sea Devils, REKID, The Machine), but it is perhaps his "Radio Slave" moniker that most people will be familiar with. Over the last 5 years, as Radio Slave, Matt has released a string of underground club hits on Rekids such as "My Bleep", "Bell Clap Dance", The "No Sleep" series and theanthemic "Grindhouse". Aside from Rekids, Matt has released on a number of other esteemed labels such as R&S, Om, Running Back and Ostgut Ton. Due to his unique production style, Matt has managed to carve out his own distinct Radio Slave sound which many often try to emulate, and which makes him a highly sought after remixer. DJ Mag listed him as one of the greatest remixers ever, and also awarded him 'Best British Producer' in the 'Best Of British' awards. To date, Radio Slave's remix credits include artists such as Armand Van Helden, Slam, UNKLE, DJ Hell, Josh Wink, DJ Sneak and many more. Bio – Radio Slave As a DJ, Matt is in as much demand as he is for his production faculties. Starting off at London's Milk Bar in 1992 and subsequently becoming resident at Ministry Of Sound, Matt has since gone on to DJ virtually every major club in the world, as well as a handful of international music festivals. Recently, Matt put together a mind-blowing mix for no.48 in the Fabric compilation series, and also released 'Radio Slave presents Strictly Rhythms Vol. 5' - a double CD compilation featuring no less than 8 of his own re-edits of the Strictly catalogue. Currently, he holds residencies at Berlin's Panorama Bar and Paris' Rex Club with the Rekids label nights, and can be found most weekends headlining the world's top clubs such as Fabric (London), Rex Club (Paris), Womb (Tokyo), Space (Ibiza), Sub Club (Glasgow) and Robert Johnson (Frankfurt). Earlier this year, Matt cemented his position as one of Britain's heavyweight DJ's with an appearance alongside Carl Craig at the '20 years of Planet E' party in London. Aside from these tremendous feats as a DJ/Producer, Matt has shown himself to be a dab hand in other artistic endeavours. His latest incarnation 'The Machine', is a multi-media venture combining music and visuals. The aural aspect features 6 tracks of experimental soundscapes - using found sounds and taking influence from contemporary electro-acoustic composition. The visual aspect comprises of a short film by UK artists Lovely Jon & Mike Keelin, and each track has a corresponding image designed by Australian pop artist Misha Holenbach. The 6 tracks are out now in the form of The Machine's LP 'RedHead', and a special limited edition release on the Pyramids Of Mars imprint will include the whole multi-media package. So keep an eye out. Matt has also collaborated with Devilrobots and Medicom Toy Corporation to produce the 'No Sleep - No Tofu' Kubrick toy. This is currently available from Firmament (http://www.am-firmament.com/medicom_toy ... elief.html), with all proceeds being directly donated to the Red Cross For Japan relief efforts. In 2011, Matt shows no sign of slowing down. At the turn of the year, he released his 'East West' EP on Rekids, which is still smashing clubs some months later. He is also set to mix the cover-mount CD 'Slave To The Rhythm' in Mixmag's april edition. Added to this, Matt will continue to tour extensively and somehow find time to release another string of club bangers. On this current form, there's no stopping him.

Saturday 11th May Chinese Laundry hosts Alex Niggemann & Birdee Alex Niggemann played last year alongside James Zabiela & George Fitzgerald in the Cave where the 3 of them absolutely tore the roof off & this time returns to perform an extended 3 hour set! Birdee will be headlining the Laundry & we know that this Italian man will know how to get the crowd going ! Full Line Up: Alex Niggemann (GER) Birdee (Italy) Chris Fraser Kerry Wallace Whitecat Fingers Trent Rackus Ra Bazaar Nanna Does Smack Wrecks Doors Open at 9pm Drink Specials from 9pm til 11pm Links to check out Alex Niggemann http://www.facebook.com/alexniggemann.official?fref=ts https://soundcloud.com/alexniggemann Birdee http://www.facebook.com/DjBirdee?fref=ts https://soundcloud.com/djbirdee Bio – Alex Niggemann Persistent, stubborn, straight ahead! - Alex Niggemann can be best described as idiosyncratic, impulsive and selfcritical. What might be construed as negative for some people, are attributes that have paved the way to a remarkable career for this DJ and producer. Discovered by Get Physical label in 2006, and chose Niggeman to remix Booka Shade‘s „Darko“ for a vinyl EP featuring established artists including Tiefschwarz and Radio Slave. Things started to snowball in summer of 2008 when Alex was signed to Supernature, the home label for UK duo Audiofly. Niggemann‘s ‘Black Rose EP’ was released in May 2009 followed by his ‘Makayuni EP’ released on Nick Curly‘s and Gorge‘s 8bit records. Be Chosen records released another Niggemann EP and remixes followed. His productions enjoy a solid reputation. So it was no surprise to see him being number 8 position on Resident Advisor‘s „Top 20 Charted Artists“ in the end of 2009 ahead of DJ‘s such as Loco Dice, Joris Voorn or Ben Klock. Niggemann‘s bookings have taken him around the world. Gigs in North and South America and across Europe have become part of a standard business routine.. Alex has been performing his DJ set throughout the summer season on some of Europe’s and Ibiza‘s best known dance floors. While his latest production ‚Trippin‘ was released in October on Tsuba, Niggemann continues his hectic schedule and will be headed for foreign shores with forthcoming tour schedules that take him to Brazil, Mexico and North America and future plans to start conquering Asia. In 2011 he caught Steve Bug's attention resulting in his EP "Lately" being released on Poker Flat followed by his debut longplayer "Paranoid Funk" on in June 2012. One of the things that distinguishes Niggemann‘s style is that it‘s hard to define. This headstrong producer isn‘t inte rested in sub-genres and likes to describe himself as a House DJ. He produces and plays whatever suits him at the moment: from dark tech house to vocal-heavy house music. Either way, he‘s always right on target with the club crowds who dance to his music all night long – all over the world. Wherever his mood takes him, the club scene will be paying close attention to what comes next on Alex Niggemann‘s turntables. Bio – Birdee "Birdee is one of our favourite new artists without a doubt, we have been playing pretty much all his productions. They fit perfectly in our sets" - Reset! Birdee may be a relatively new name in the world of dance music, but he is making serious waves very quickly. Based in London but originally hailing from sunny Italia, he calls his blend of housey beats, obscure 70s samples and wobbly b-lines Ghetto Disco. His latest release Shake It has been played by a veritable who's who of dance music: Laidback Luke, Crookers, Tom Staar, Jaymo and Andy George, Boris Dlugosch, Reset!, Malente and many more have all given huge support to the track, which has also been played 3 times on BBC Radio 1. Birdee has also recently done a guest mix for the Loose Cannons - well known for spotting hot new talent - which has been aired on their established radio show on Kiss 100. In the meantime his new single Freak, to be released on Jaimie Fanatic's LKC imprint on April 1, is already being supported by Kissy Sell Out on his Radio 1 Show. It's easy to see why there is so much buzz surrounding Birdee at the moment, and with more releases and remixes due soon, this is only the beginning!

A Huge Double headliner on Friday 11th May that will get a lot of people excited - Delta Heavy PLUS Fred V & Grafix!! The hype on this line up is enormous! Delta Heavy ((Ram Records/UK) Fred V & Grafix (Hospital Records/UK) Brooklyn Zoo Adam Zae U-Khan Capture Open-Eye Doors Open 10pm Drink Specials from 10pm til 11pm **DELTA HEAVY (UK) RAM RECORDS)** Battering down the doors of the genre elitists come a pair of producers plucked from the ranks of Ram’s new generation of incredible music talents. In just under two years, Delta Heavy, or Simon James and Ben Hall to their mums, have already proven their electronic prowess with a succession of heavy-hitting original tracks. They met at university in Nottingham and after several years of hard work, their production efforts resulted in dance floor anthem ‘Abort’, which came out on Viper’s headroom EP in June 2010 to a huge response and gained them recognition within the scene. With Radio 1 support from Zane Lowe and Huw Stevens as well as Andy C, Friction, High Contrast and the rest, it became a vital fixture in DJ sets across the country. Signing to Ram in early 2010, their debut single ‘Space Time / Take The Stairs’ was nominated as Best Track at the 2010 Drum & Bass Arena Awards as well as nominations for Best Producer and Best Newcomer DJ. Hitting number 1 across all the download stores, ‘Space Time’ was undoubtedly one of the biggest d&b tracks of the year. 2011 saw remixes for the likes of Example, Avicii and Chase and Status ft. Tinie but the highly anticipated follow up to their massive debut single was always going to deliver. ‘Overkill / Hold Me’ cemented them as bass innovators and leading lights in current hype that surrounds much of bass music today. The video for “Hold Me’ has hit nearly 5 million views as well as receiving a nomination for Best Animated Video at the UK Motion Video Awards, plus received daytime radio play from Sara Cox as well as specialist spins from Zane Lowe, Skream & Benga, Mistajam & Kissy Sell Out. The release of their highly anticipated and critically acclaimed EP ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ in 2012 saw Delta Heavy firmly established themselves as one of the most exciting artists to emerge in recent years. The EP had outstanding radio support from Fearne Cotton, lead track ‘Get By’ was Annie Mac's special delivery, Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Sara Cox and all relevant specialist DJ support on BBC Radio 1; Mistajam Record of the Week and play listed at 1Xtra, plus spot plays on Capital & XFM. The video for ‘Get By’ was hailed as a ‘cultural back story to the 90s’ and was an outstanding performance of stop motion graphics being used to utter devastation when teamed with the best in https://www.facebook.com/deltaheavyuk?fref=ts http://twitter.com/deltaheavyuk http://soundcloud.com/deltaheavy http://www.youtube.com/deltaheavyuk ** FRED V & GRAFIX (UK HOSPITAL RECORDS) ** Fledgling stars Fred Vahrman and Josh Jackson a.k.a Fred V & Grafix signed to Hospital at the end of 2011 and have been making waves ever since. A pair of producers who have been working together for the past five years now and showing huge promise, the boys have already brought us such gems as “One Of These Days”, “Long Distance“ and “Room To Breathe”, as well as featuring on a number of Hospitality compilations. When they’re not making uplifting liquid gems and charming D+B fans across the globe, the Devon duo are often found on BBC Radio 1Xtra or doing mini mixes for Annie Mac. Now the duo embarks on their debut Australian tour to tear up shows across the sun burnt land alongside bass heavyweights DELTA HEAVY!......This is a tour not to be missed by lovers of bass music! Recent recruits to the scene, Fred V & Grafix were initially into live music, with Fred’s guitar talents still coming into good use in their recent contribution to the “Fifteen Years Of Hospital Records” album “Find My Way”. The pair converted to D+B when they heard Pendulum’s controversial and genre-changing album “Hold Your Colour” and High Contrast’s sophomore “High Society”. Influenced by an eclectic range of sounds outside of D+B, from electro/French house, ambient and hip hop, Fred V & Grafix cite artists such as Flying Lotus, Bonobo, Dilla and Jimi Hendrix as key inspirations, alongside fellow Hospital artists High Contrast and Logistics. Having already released music on Allsorts and Talkin Beatz, and received Radio One support from Zane Lowe and Annie Mac, Fred V & Grafix made their Hospital debut on the “Fifteen Years Of Hospital Records” album with “Find My Way”. As well as producers within their own right, Fred V & Grafix have also stunned us with their remixes of Emeli Sande – “Daddy”, Skepta – “Hold On”, Camo & Krooked – “All Fall Down” and not forgetting their amazing remix of Rudimental’s chart-topping No. 1 hit “Feel The Love”. Since signing to Hospital, Fred V & Grafix impressed with their Sick Music 3 contribution "Major Happy" and the epic "Purple Gates" which appeared on Hospitality D&B 2013 before finally bringing us their debut solo release, the awe-inspiring "Goggles EP" which dropped in March 2013. With plenty of charisma, talent and the backing of many of the industry's key players, one thing's for sure - as we look ahead, the future is most https://www.facebook.com/fredvgrafix?fref=ts www.hospitalrecords.com/artists/fredvandgrafix https://soundcloud.com/fredvgrafix

From ethereal, swirling cinematic soundscapes to energy-infused bass-bothering tech growlers, a new generation of clubbers are learning what we already know - that there’s nothing quite like being locked into a John Digweed set. But John Digweed is much more than a DJ. Bedrock – his record label, promotions company and production partnership with Nick Muir – is a mothership of creative ingenuity and integrity that other labels orbit around. His vision for the Bedrock record label has been realized over 12 years, as he continuously seeks out mixes and remixes from the world’s best producers. Techno mainstays like Marco Bailey, Christian Smith and John Selway sit comfortably alongside hot new talent like Guy J in the Bedrock camp. In a dance scene increasingly inhabited by inflated egos and gimmicks, John’s approach remains all drive, no drama, a heads-down crack-on attitude that has won him the respect of his peers. However, the fact remains that John Digweed has notched up a mighty list of groundbreaking achievements since he first became involved in the embryonic acid house scene as a 15-year-old lad in Hastings. From Top 40 smashes ‘Heaven Scent’ and ‘For What You Dream Of’ (with Nick Muir) to world renowned mix CDs for Renaissance, GU and Northern Exposure, it’s little surprise he was voted No.1 DJ in the World by DJmag readers in 2001. Ten years on, the excitement John Digweed generates is even more palpable today. With Nick he has scored a Hollywood film (Stark Raving Mad) and Spiderman`s animated series for Sony/MTV. toured with David Bowie and Moby, and transformed Brighton Beach into the UK’s biggest beach party (250,000 people) with Fatboy Slim. His Transitions, Bedrock and Structures albums continue to turn new fans on worldwide, Bedrock’s recent 12th birthday party at London’s O2 Brixton Academy was a road-blocked sell-out and his Transitions radio show is one of the world’s most successful dance music shows, broadcast across 45 countries to a staggering weekly audience of over 14 million. But the real beauty in John Digweed’s story lies in his unflinching belief in the music he plays. And with new music comes new chapters in an already astonishing career.

Saturday 4th May we are very excited to host one of the worlds most truly amazing talents MAX COOPER in a 4 hour set in the Cave You only need to look at these recent achievements to see why we say this with so much authority RA top live act of 2012 Beatport top artist of 2012 One of XLR8R's 10 most popular podcasts 2012 Two x XLR8R videos of 2012 RA top 100 DJs, 2011. Plus headlining the Laundry we have our resident Kid Kenobi who is always a crowd favourite & recently been killing it with his releases on his own label Klub Kids Full Line Up Cave – Hosted By Symmetry Max Cooper (UK) Damien Osborne Laundry Kid Kenobi A-Tonez Jace Disgrace Tim Galvin Sand Bar Fingers King Lee Deckhead Links :http://www.maxcooper.net/ http://www.soundcloud.com/max-cooper http://www.twitter.com/maxcoopermax http://www.facebook.com/kidkenobiofficial?fref=ts https://soundcloud.com/kidkenobi Bio – Max Cooper "One of the greatest new talents to emerge on the dance scene in the last few years" - Skrufff.com "Consistently proves himself to be one of the most peerlessly beautiful recording artists in modern dance music" - IDJ "One to keep a close eye on" - Fabric blog "Haunting" - Clash magazine "Beautiful, hypnotic techno that should be listened to by anybody with even a passing interest in intelligently geared dance music" - Electrorash '"The End of Reason," a truly sublime beatless tour de force that recalls Philip Glass, Aphex Twin's most serene moments and even Henryk Gorecki's Symphony No. 3" - Resident Advisor The facts are easy to establish: Max Cooper has more than 50 original releases, tracks and remixes under his belt, from glitchy reinterpretations of big bands like Hot Chip and Au Revoir Simone to straight dancefloor 12"s like his breakthrough "Serie" originals and remixes for names like Agoria, Dominik Eulberg, Extrawelt, Pig and Dan, Kaiserdisco and Sasha. The approach, meanwhile, is anything but simple. A melancholy composer whose live sets can raise blisters in a club, Cooper is as comfortable writing abstract electronica as he is writing dancefloor techno 12"s . A rationalist with an otherworldly, idealistic side, Cooper is also a wildly creative musician who until recently had a day job as a sober scientist. And he's swung from extreme to extreme since he first took to the decks 11 years ago. As Cooper sees it, there's conflict, but it's part of the music-writing process. Each side of his personality sparks ideas off the other, and what remains constant is his own unique and starkly emotional style. From his breakthrough trilogy of "Serie" releases on Traum Schallplatten - the first released in 2009 and with each track inspired by a different scientific or mathematical concept - Cooper has built a reputation for one-off originals, killer remixes and challenging DJ and live sets. Since his first release in 2007, his back catalogue now includes two mainstream Hype Machine smashes with reworks of Hot Chip and Portishead, several Beatport genre top 10s, work with the visual artists Whiskas fX and Nick Cobby and an increasing number of collaborations with artists a long distance from Cooper's dancefloor beginnings. With his time now mainly spent writing and touring music, Cooper continues to release his own originals, with 'The End Of Reason' described by Resident Advisor as "a truly sublime beatless tour de force that recalls Philip Glass, Aphex Twin's most serene moments and even Henryk Gorecki's Symphony No. 3", and the UK's IDJ magazine saying that Cooper "consistently proves himself to be one of the most peerlessly beautiful recording artists in modern dance music". Stark, emotive and original, Cooper is, according to Skrufff.com, "One of the greatest new talents to emerge on the dance scene in the last few years". -
