Technically these sites are for 'reviewing purposes only'.

I'm trying to find a blog site like the one I posted above where it posts links to newly released songs or new mixes so I can review them.

Cheers. You can delete this thread Big list there haha

My names Jason but I'm also known as Jaytee. I'm from Brisbane and I'm currently studying 1st year at the University of Queensland. Although I'm still 17 (turning 18 in December) I have grown a great interest in DJing although my parents, especially my dad heavily discourages it. I do not own any gear, but I do some mixing on my computer using 'Virtual DJ' as a hobby and have been doing it for about half a year now. I've seen heaps of videos on how to mix and scratch and set up the equipment so I do have a basic understanding of the equipment and how to use them as well the beat matching etc. I'm currently looking for any DJ's in Brisbane to help mentor me and just teach me some techniques as well. I really wanted to get a pair of CDJ-400s and a DJM-400 mixer for about $2100 and start learning as early as possible, but I'm low on cash atm and my parents won't loan me because of the DJ stereotypes. But anyway I'm hoping to get the uni student job at the Brisbane city council for urban planning and get around $712 - $750 per week next year! I should afford equipment easily then. I have made some mixes and I admit they are extremely bad but to those that don't know how to DJ they are pretty good. I have only been to a niteclub once, which is the birdy num num's once using my friends ID haha. My dad heavily discourages me learning how to DJ, he says if I loan out my own money and buy the equipment he would personally smash them up. But it's something I'm quite passionate about as I love music, all genres including classical to hardstyle to hip hop.

It is fun, but you can pull off much better mixes with the equipment I'm planning to pair it with my equipment but I am guilty of using the sync button It's so hard to beat match using a mouse haha

That'll be awesome, I might drop by next time I go down to the coast. Wherebouts do you live? Well I've done alot of research and I found out that the CDJ-400's are very good for begineers and amateurs. (I also want to learn scratching - which the CDJ 200 doesn't provide). If I get good enough I can drop by my friends parties and events and earn some $$$. I've been using Virtual DJ for about about a year now so it's definitely something I'm pretty passionate about. Although computer mixing (virtual DJ) imo is alot harder because you can only do one thing at a time using the mouse and there are limited options from using hotkeys. I'm also interested in going into music production as a side hobby after I learn how to DJ. I haven't had any real lessons or anything, just observing Youtube videos of other DJ's and their techniques.

Hey guys. I gave up on merchanting. This is the best deals I found for: CDJ-400 DJM-400 mixer ----------------------------------- CDJ-400 for $579.95 USD + about $100 USD Shipping fee + 1 year warrantee http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/5 ... d_MP3.html Pros: Much cheaper option Cons: You have to ship back overseas for warranty issues ----------------------------------- Lightsounds Brisbane is the best DJ store I've seen yet. They have a price guarantee and beat any price by 110%. (Located in Fortitute Valley). I found out the best deal for the CDJ-400 at $840 each (compare with DJ City in Melbourne which sells at $849). Note: prices may drop when the CDJ-400 K comes out soonish (I was told theres not much difference just theres a blue led light instead of the red one). DJM-400 mixer for only $690 (compare with DJ City in Melbourne selling at $699). If you want a set of 2x CDJ-400 + DJM-400 mixer it will cost like $2380 - $200 cashback offer from pioneer (ends November) = $2180. Good luck!

Hey, I'm extremely interested in learning how to DJ, I've watched a load of videos on how to DJ but I haven't actually tried out myself. It's something I'm pretty keen to learn about and get involved in. Just wondering if there's anyone in Brisbane interested in showing me a few tips and tricks to it, maybe some lessons. I'm trying to buy my own simple set up (CDJ-400 x 2 + DJM-400 mixer) to begin with. But I'm pretty much next to broke and still trying to persuade my parents to loan out money to me. I have done heaps of research and found out good deals valuing the set around around $2150. But hey if anyone is interested in showing me their gear I'll be extremely interested in finding out. I'm mainlny interested as a hobby at home, but also don't mind earning some extra dollars at parties and events, maybe in the future go into Audio Production.

Selling brand new CDJ-400s at $830 each (Brisbane area)
Jaytee replied to Jaytee's topic in Buy & Sell - Gear
If you read carefully, I've decided to invest in buying some CDJ's from overseas. I have never merchanted but I had a look at the market prices and worked out I could make some gains if I shipped them from overseas. Of course i'm contradicting myself but I need to earn enough money to actually keep one without losing any money. I doubt that this would work but hey it's worth a try. I'm hoping to sell around 30 CDJ's to actually earn enough money to keep a pair myself. I doubt that would happen. It's just I'm desperate for my own CDJ's now I want to try and make some quick cash. I'm pretty sure I will get a job paying around $700 a week next year so I can easily earn enough to upgrade my CDJ's. -
Selling brand new CDJ-400s at $830 each (Brisbane area)

No I'm not a scammer I'm trying to make some quick cash merchanting them so I can buy my own pair and save days maybe weeks arguing and persuading my parents to loan some money out . There was a lack of replies from my previous thread so I dropped the price and someone suggested that I should have. Please help out If you can find any price cheaper in Brisbane, I'll try to beat that. But I can't gurantee the price will go any lower. Lightsound Brisbane has a guarantee that they'll beat any price. They sell their CDJ 400s at $875. I told them I found have found a much cheaper personal deal from overseas, they have not replied. Any ideas how I can make myself more legit? I prefer cash method since I have no experience with online transactions - meet person to person. I will also provide proof that I bought it from a legit company overseas = legit product and show that I have not made much profit, but enough to keep me on the track to buying my own pair. -
