I tried using the cable in the first post, connected it to my mixer, then into the only slot on the macbook, followed the steps in audacity, but no luck at all. It wont record any sound. Might have to invest in one of those usb soundcards.

I have the 15" version so don't have that problem. So I have a quick question. Has anyone used a Macbook pro (13inch) to record their mix? Because as you may know, it only has one slot for the input and output... Just curious if anyone encountered any problems while doing this. Cheers
