Headhunterz caught with cracked software

Recently, reddit brought to light Steve Aoki’s use of a cracked copy of Sylenth 1. Today, another post on reddit revealed that Headhunterz also uses a cracked software.

In a video he posted about creating part of his track “From Within” the signature left by the crackers, Team Arcade, is clearly visible.

It is worth noting, however, that it is not necessarily illegal to own cracked software as long as you also bought a copy.

Sometimes producers/DJs may download cracked software to see if they like it, then buy a copy but continue using the cracked version.

Also, it is possible that producers and DJs like Headhunterz and Aoki bought the software but use cracked versions because they simply run better and smoother.
