It’s the best-selling vinyl record since 1999, according to statistics from the online retailing giant.The album heads a list that includes Adele’s 21, Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black, Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon (both the regular and 30th anniversary edition) and David Bowie’s 2013 comeback album The Next Day, which has outsold his 1972 concept album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders From Mars.It also topped Amazon.co.uk’s list of the best selling vinyl albums of 2013 so far, ahead of Bowie’s The Next Day, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ Push The Sky Away, Black Sabbath’s 13 and ...Like Clockwork by Queens Of The Stone Age.Amazon.co.uk reports that vinyl sales have increased by 100 percent compared to the same time last year. It reaffirms a recent report by the Entertainment Retailers Association, which saw a 44 percent increase in vinyl sales in UK record stores in the first half of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012. In Australia, 2012 vinyl sales were up 47 percent on the previous year.
