Paul Baümer (Bingo Players) Passes, Loses Battle with Cancer

Earlier this morning, news confirming that Paul Baümer of Bingo Players has lost his battle with cancer went viral throughout the dance music community. An official announcement was made by Maarten Hoogstraten, one half of Bingo Players and co-founder of Hysteria Records, through their official Facebook page that has shocked and saddened everyone from fans to fellow producers.

Back in July, news broke that Paul was diagnosed with cancer and that Maarten would be “representing them on the road”. Maarten proclaimed that Paul fought strongly up until the very end, leading up to Baümer passing away on Tuesday night.

Dear All,

I’m deeply saddened to tell you that Paul passed away last night after his battle with cancer. He fought strongly until the end.

We want to thank you all for your support over the past few months.

Needless to say, all upcoming shows for the rest of this year have been cancelled as we’re going through this loss with family and friends. We’ll post a longer update shortly with more information as well.

Paul, we will miss you.
