Yota’s ‘Til The Night Fades Out’ is disco pop perfection

You may not have heard of Swedish singer songwriter Yota before but you’ll have certainly heard her music in some or another as she’s co-written tracks with everyone from John Acquaviva to Alax Braxe over the last decade or so.

Striking out on her own, Jotta Hautanen is the brains behind the alias and has just released her debut album via Lifelike’s Computer Science imprint.

In fact, Lifelike has had a hand in the album’s production and his signature velvety disco aesthetic is all over her new single, ‘Til The Night Fader Out’, which is taken from the her album, ‘The Night In Shining Armour’.

Ostensibly a slice of electro pop, Lifelike adds a veneer of filtered French goodness thanks to his use of elongated filter sweeps, punchy percussion and rasping hooks.
