Cupe Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 You’d be hard-pressed to find people who support homophobia in dance music culture, but they are of course out there lurking. Much has been done to provide all cultures, sexual orientations, races, genders, et al. with a safe space to dance their booties off, but the battle continues day after day. The latest to really make a statement about homophobia in dance music is Canadian producer/DJ Ekali, who in doing so, also came out as bisexual. Yes I’m bisexual. Stop leaving hateful gay rhetoric on my content. Thank you. — EKALI (@EkaliMusic) August 19, 2018 So far, it seems that Ekali, real name Nathan Shaw, has received nothing but words of support from his friends, followers, and colleagues. Other artists to recently come out as gay or bisexual include Griz and KANDY. This article was first published on Your EDM.
