Now, with the advent of streaming and powerful analytics tools, it’s easier than ever to see how an important figure’s death impacts their numbers. Since Mac Miller’s death two weeks ago, his overall streaming numbers have increased by 970%. Additionally, every one of his studio albums have re-entered the Billboard Top 200, along with two of his mixtapes. Swimming now sits at No. 6, with GO:OD AM at No. 32, Blue Slide Park at 49, The Divine Feminine at 50 and Watching Movies With the Sound Off at 59.
