Secret Garden Festival is one of those events that you get excited for every year. Without a lineup release you never know what you’re going to be in for, just that it’s going to be dope and full of people there for the vibe. This has been such a success that even bigger festivals have been adopting the no lineup ethos. Well the dates just got announced for the weekend festival that takes place at Brownlow Hill farm, (less than 2 hours from Sydney) so ready those ticket fingers because as per the usual these are going to sell out. It’s been announced for Friday February 22 and Saturday February 23 and if it’s anything like it is every year, it’s going to be a doozy! Last year saw some amazing stage design next to some even more amazing artists. From the gothic vibes of the Let’sin stage to the disco UFO stylings of the THE COSMOTEQUE to the drag stylings of the Camp Queen Fitness stage. Honestly every set was so meticulously and beautifully designed, but I digress. Check out the ticketing info below and if you’re interested you can read more and sign up for tix here! There have been raves in the forest, ice caves, cathedrals, and now for the most unique venue yet, a prison. Audio Obscura have announced that they will be throwing a 3 night even in the iconic and old Bijlmerbajes prison in Amsterdam. The shows will take place from Thursday, October 18th to Saturday, October 20th. As it looks like some strings had to be pulled to get something to be produced here, the Bijlmerbajes is considered the most famous prison in the Netherlands and it can be expected that this will be the only event here. Although eery scenery, Audio Obscura will undoubtedly transform this into a joyous and electrifying environment perfected by attendees. Kicking off the night Thursday will be Seth Troxler and Honey Dijon. Friday night will be entirely hosted by Speedy J’s Electric Deluxe label and saturday night will be headlined by Nina Kravitz. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday September 5th at 12 PM. The spectacle that was Sonic Bloom 2018 included new developments this year, starting with bigger sound. The stages were more evolved, there was no expense spared for the sound quality. Towers of Funktion-One‘s made a nest for us on the mystical Hummingbird Ranch in Rye, Colorado. Plus, the lasers extended the length of the festival grounds, surprising all the wigglers as they would pop up everywhere. Then there was the story of Steve… First, enjoy a Sonic Bloom 2018 recap video by Top Level Productions, Mind Beam Productions and Cosmic Synergy. Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I’M POSSIBLE. – Audrey Hepburn Check out the Sonic Bloom 2018 lineup card and enjoy our carefully curated festival playlist as peak into the spectacle. Sonic Bloom 2018 Lineup Photo credit Sonic Bloom by Bradford Walkins Creations photo credit Eric Allen for Sonic Bloom The real question is, what didn’t Steve do? Steve helped lead a group of lost friends to a light post, played a surprise silent set for people that could hear him, turned a jug of water into jug of wine, sat in the blazing hot sun all day just so all his friends didn’t have to move from the shade, didn’t care if his drink was warm on a hot day, used all of the food he eats as energy (no waste), gave a man a painting lesson…that man was Bob Ross, climbed a mountain and fed a little chipmunk and when an old ladies bag got snatched he got it back. Simply, Stevie embodied the love of Bloomers. We don’t have to tell you that TV’s coming back. At this point, you already know, especially given that TV is selling itself to you in more places than it ever has before. From the highest echelons of streaming to the most obscure cable networks, television as a medium is as expansive as it’s ever been. If you’re overwhelmed, don’t fret; we do this for a living, and even we have a hard time keeping up with the changes. It’s impossible to watch all the great TV happening right now, let alone all the good TV, or the bad TV you’d really like to make time to watch. When we started setting up this feature alone, we had a shortlist of about 90 series that had our attention for one reason or another, a list we had to cull down to its most essential items. Below you’ll find a few returns, a couple network shows, several new endeavors by A-list filmmakers and showrunners, a couple outstanding documentaries, and a few things we know just enough about to be excited. It’s gonna be freezing soon, so let’s figure out what you’ll be ripping through when the outdoors are entirely uninhabitable. Without further preamble, here are the 25 series we’re most excited to see before the end of 2018. –Dominick Suzanne-Mayer Film Editor __________________________________________________________ America to Me Premiere: Currently Airing on Starz For years, Steve James has been a Chicago staple. The storied filmmaker made one of the all-time great American documentaries in Hoop Dreams and one of the most powerful modern statements about the South Side of Chicago with The Interrupters. Now, with his Starz series America to Me, James uses a diverse public high school in nearby suburban Oak Park, Illinois, to examine the issues of race, class, and social inequality that have fueled his work for years. This is one of the only entries on this list that’s already gotten started (as of this writing), so we can verify firsthand that this is not something you’re going to want to miss. –Dominick Suzanne-Mayer __________________________________________________________ Ozark Premiere: Currently Streaming on Netflix Ozark, it appears, is following Stranger Things‘ lead when it comes to discussing the traditional season structure. Star and executive producer Jason Bateman says that the second season is not a season, but rather a sequel. That distinction seems to be in response to Netflix’s binge-friendly, roll-out format, which is to drop every episode at once. Judging by its first outing, Ozark isn’t quite as binge-worthy as Stranger Things, but it’s compelling enough in its story of a crooked financier who moves his family to the titular sticks while trying to appease both a Mexican drug cartel and a Missouri crime family. The bones of a good show are there; the first season has a strong sense of place, even if it struggled to get audiences emotionally invested in the central family. Frankly, we’re more excited to check in with Julia Garner’s Ruth Langmore, who seems more capable than any of her myriad cohorts. –Randall Colburn __________________________________________________________ The Purge Premiere: September 4th on USA What’s always been enviable about The Purge franchise is its own transmutability. Seeing how the core premise — a 12-hour period in which all crime, including murder, is legal — takes place over an entire dystopian nation, the opportunities are endless. So far, writer James DeMonaco hasn’t missed a beat, and his stories have only gotten better with each entry, from 2014’s expansive Anarchy to 2016’s all-too-prescient Election Year to this summer’s topical prequel, The First Purge. Now, he’s primed the series for television and it looks like little has been lost in translation. –-Michael Roffman __________________________________________________________ It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Premiere: September 5th on FX Don’t worry, Dennis Reynolds is still a part of the gang. No, Paddy’s Pub will not be sans the D.E.N.N.I.S. System and there will be more than enough implications to leave us shaking our heads in disbelief. For this season — the show’s 13th, if you can believe that — the Gang will once again be up to no good and get involved in all sorts of hi-jinx we’ll DVR and re-watch again and again and again. Without spoiling too much, expect to see sex dolls, muscle-y Macs, and one hilarious commentary on female-led reboots. Oh yeah, the magic’s back again. –Michael Roffman __________________________________________________________ The Deuce Premiere: September 9th on HBO Grab your smokes and flask of whiskey: David Simon and George Pelecanos’ ’70s-set Times Square drama returns this Fall. For this go-around, they’re shooting five years ahead to 1977, a time when New York City is still a total shithole and danger is on every street corner. That’s good news, though, because part of that first season’s charm was the grit and grime. You’ll get plenty of that once again, in addition to some good ol’ vintage pornography — the kind your fathers likely grew up with! If that makes you cringe, well, good luck with the episodes. –Michael Roffman __________________________________________________________ Source

Last Friday in Seattle, Vic Mensa participated in a celebrity-filled live stream highlighting the latest features of video game Destiny 2: Forsaken. The newest edition of the Destiny game franchise is anchored by Gambit, a gaming mode that allows for two teams of four to face off against one another. Mensa, whose team boasted Zach LaVine, rising NBA star of the Chicago Bulls, battled against star producer Dillon Francis and Dallas Mavericks player Luka Doncic. “The graphics are super dope,” Mensa told me in a phone call after the live stream. The Chicago rapper, who grew up playing Tekken and often turns to video games “for a little mental break” while in the studio, also praised the “awesome” teamwork aspect of Gambit. “Zach is wicked on the game,” he added. However, it wasn’t all fun and (literal) games for Mensa that afternoon. While coming down from the rush of playing Destiny 2, Mensa also revealed details about a couple of new projects that are said to “be coming very soon.” These projects follow Mensa’s The Autobiography, which we at Consequence of Sound deemed the 38th best album of 2017, and represent all the many facets to Mensa’s musical taste. “I do so many different things sonically, and I never really viewed music through a genre lens,” the MC explained. “I listen to so much different music — one day I’ll be listening to Fela [Kuti], then I’m listening to the Descendents… then Mos Def and Nas.” He continued, “I listen to all this different music so when I sit down to make music, often times, especially if I am producing, I just make weird beats — like whatever happens, happens.” One of the projects in development is “more straightforward rap”,” which Mensa recently worked on with the help of Ty Dolla $ign. Another is described by Mensa as “punk rock over trap drums,” and sees him collaborating with H.R., frontman for hardcore punk vets Bad Brains. Their joint track is said to be a “dope ska trap song” about the tragic Pulse nightclub shooting that took place in June 2016. Mensa has also logged studio time with some of his fellow Savemoney members. “Me and KAMI got a really dope record,” he noted. “Me and Chance [the Rapper] got a couple of records.” Additionally, The Autobiography rapper also talked about his massive giveaway in Chicago last month, which saw him distribute 10,000 pairs of free shoes at the exact site of a controversial “bait truck” police sting. Mensa — a noted activist, especially when it comes to issues of police brutality and racism — said that speaking up on behalf of his community is an “inspirational necessity” and one of the main reasons why he creates music in the first place. “To connect with people that I know best, to tell their story,” he shared. Below, revisit Mensa’s recent solo single “Metaphysical”, which was inspired by his African heritage, followed by a game-face photo from the Destiny 2 live stream. Destiny 2: Forsaken, a product of Bungie, High Moon Studios, and Activision, is available now for download on PlayStation 4, the Xbox One family of devices, and PC. Source

Castle Rock’s penultimate episode premieres tonight, and our very own The Losers’ Club podcast will be ready with a new episode dissecting Hulu’s Stephen King-inspired mystery. While you’re waiting for both to drop, here’s a teaser for the series featuring a nifty cover of Link Wray’s 1971 song “Fallin’ Rain” to help pass the time. It comes from Father John Misty, and it certainly seems to speak to the show’s themes. (TV Review: Castle Rock Adds New Chapters to Stephen King Classics) “My mind is like a spring in a clock that won’t unwind,” he sings. “I can’t see, can’t think, can’t feel—I’m out of time.” Viewers should definitely find such a line familiar, just as they should the song’s opening lyrics regarding “a sound” that’s “going through my brain.” The song was written more than 40 years ago, and it certainly seems as if Castle Rock creators Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason found inspiration in more than just King. Meanwhile, series protagonists Andre Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, and Bill Skarsgård break the fourth wall as the cut unfolds, seeming to peer beyond the screen. UK producer Haxan Cloak helmed the track, and the howling winds he’s interwoven into Father John Misty’s upbeat strums and forceful vocals give the whole thing an eerie air. Check it out below. Father John Misty’s cover-crazy lately, having also just released a rendition of Gillian Welch’s “Everything Is Free”. Earlier this year, he shared God’s Favorite Customer (one of the best albums of the year so far). Head yonder to stream The Losers’ Club’s exclusive interview with Thomason and Shaw, and revisit our recap of last week’s entry, “Past Perfect”. Source

On the last day of May this year, Swedish metallers Ghost cut short their performance at Milwaukee’s Riverside Theater when one of their fans, Jeff Fortune, collapsed during the show. He was rushed to the hospital and, sadly, died of natural causes. Out of respect for him and his family, Ghost chose to cancel the remainder of the set, issuing a statement on Twitter urging the other attendees to “please send the family your thoughts, prayers and respect their privacy during this time.” Now, the band has announced that it will be returning to the venue on October 31st to give ticket holders of that original concert a chance to see the rest of the show. And Ghost are dedicating the hour-long set to the deceased fan and those who knew him. Ghost will also be selling a special t-shirt, featuring the images of frontman Cardinal Copia and Jeff Fortune dressed in Michael Myers costumes, that night, with all the proceeds going to Fortune’s family. Here’s the statement that was released on the Riverside Theater’s website about the new event: Ghost will return to the Riverside Theater on October 31 to complete its concert that was cut short earlier this year. The May 31 show was canceled at the close of Act I due to the tragic collapse and subsequent death of Ghost fan Jeff Fortune. Dedicating the October 31 performance to Mr Fortune and his family and friends, Ghost will perform the hour-long Act II for ticket holders who attended the original date. Doors open at 7pm with Ghost taking the stage at 8pm. The show will start a bit early so guests can enjoy the previously-missed Act II of Ghost’s concert and still have plenty of time to go trick-or-treat or party afterwards. Ghost will be out on tour this fall in support of their fourth studio album, Prequelle, which appears on our list of the Best Metal Albums of 2018 So Far. The new North American leg begins on October 25th at the Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie, Texas, and wraps up on December 15th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. See a full list of dates here. While the court of public opinion passed their judgement on Kevin Spacey when his latest film, Billionaire Boys Club, took in just $618 on its opening weekend, the legal system has been far kinder. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has announced that it won’t be prosecuting sexual assault cases levied against the former House of Cards star, nor those alleged against Steven Seagal and Anthony Anderson. As far as the specific charges against Spacey and Putin’s Pal Seagal, the DA determined that the statue of limitations had passed in both instances. In the case of Anderson, meanwhile, the black-ish actor was accused of assaulting a woman in July. However, authorities say that “the reporting party has declined to be interviewed by the investigating officer,” so the case could not go forward. (Read: What The Handmaid’s Tale Can Tell Us About Hollywood’s Sexual Assault Allegations) Spacey still faces a second sexual assault charge, which the LA DA is reportedly actively reviewing (via Deadline). The one that authorities declined today stems from a 1992 incident that occurred while the alleged victim was not a minor. The case against Seagal involved a victim who claimed the one-time action star had sexually assaulted her in 1993 when she was 18. A number of women, including Jenny McCarthy, Portia de Rossi, Julianna Margulies, and Inside Edition correspondent Lisa Guerrero, have also accused Seagal of harassment dating back to 1998. A litany of charges against Harvey Weinstein, whose atrocious behavior sparked the #MeToo movement that led to Spacey’s downfall, are still being pursued by the Los Angeles DA. Source

Legendary composer Danny Elfman will reprise his role as Jack Skellington this Halloween, as The Hollywood Bowl is holding another live staging in tribute to Tim Burton’s 1993 musical The Nightmare Before Christmas, this one in celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary. The first came back in 2015, and this new staging will again find Elfman joined by co-stars Catherine O’Hara (Sally) and Ken Page (Oogie Boogie). Here’s hoping Elfman’s Oingo Boingo bandmate Steve Bartek returns for “Dead Man’s Party”. Their performances will be backed by a live orchestra, as well as live scenery projections and guest artists. Conductor John Mauceri, founding Director of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, will again lead the band and choir, while creative studio Mousetrappe will produce the event’s “living scenery.” Pre-show activities include a costume contest, trick-or-treating stations, and photo opportunities. It all unfolds on October 26th and 27th. Tickets go on sale September 8th at 10 a.m. local time, and are available here. See a poster for the event below. Source

Joey Purp is set to drop his new project, Quarterthing, later this week. Ahead of the anticipated release day, the Savemoney rapper has divulged more details on this new collection of music, as well as broken off a track called “Elastic”. Quarterthing spans a total of 13 tunes, including the previously shared “Bag Talk” (his other recent single, “March 12th”, doesn’t appear). There are a number of special collaborators throughout, such as RZA, GZA, and Ravyn Lenae. Producers like Smoko Ono, DJ Khalil, Thelonious Martin, Knox Fortune, and Nate Fox — of the Chance the Rapper-affiliated group The Social Experiment — provided assistance behind the boards. As for today’s bouncy new song, “Elastic”, it features elements inspired by Chicago house music. Take a listen below. Quarterthing, which follows Purp’s 2016’s iiidrops mixtape, officially arrives September 7th. He guested on KAMI’s “Reboot” single, alongside Chance the Rapper, the other week. Last week, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon expressed his displeasure with being a part of Eminem’s new song “Fall”. The Kamikaze track takes aim at a number of the Detroit rapper’s critics and contemporaries, including a line where he uses the term “f*ggot” in reference to openly bisexual rapper Tyler, the Creator. After tweeting that he was “not a fan of the message” and that “it is certainly not the time for slurs,” Vernon sent a message saying, “I was wrong and we are gonna kill this track.” However, “Fall” appears very much alive, as Em has today shared its accompanying visuals. The James Larese-directed music video finds the MC literally running from the specter of his critics, personified by a smoke monster that rises from the depths of social media backlash. As the clip ends, a very changed Eminem takes a heavy step on a CD of his much-maligned 2017 effort Revival. Take a look below. Source

Former Artist of the Month EarthGang closed out their EP trilogy with February’s excellent Royalty. The Atlanta rap duo now has its sights set on a forthcoming debut album, Mirrorland, which is rumored to be out sometime before the end of 2018. “We are taking you to a whole-new dimension of reality where gravity and time do not exist,” the J.Cole-approved two-piece previously told Consequence of Sound of Mirrorland. “Where colors change and all preconceived notions of rules, physics, and reality merge into one and explode to become something entirely different.” As a preview of this new dimension of reality, EarthGang have gifted fans with a new song dubbed “Up”. Johnny Venus and WowGr8 (previously known as Doctur Dot) performed a live version of the track as part of their session for Colors studio, which just the other week helped birth Mick Jenkins and Kaytranada’s collaborative cut “What Am I To Do”. Here, EarthGang trade verses about their newfound success and how they won’t allow the fame to distract them. “Okay look, paid dues, no more fake news/ I’ma do everything that they said that I can’t do,” WowGr8 says. “Baby I ain’t fooled by the filters or the angles/ You don’t know yourself, when you come into some wealth/ You the type to let it change you.” Watch the session below. As we await more info on Mirrorland, catch EarthGang live on J. Cole’s ongoing “Kill Our Demons” tour. They’re also due to perform at Cole’s inaugural Dreamville Festival, which goes down next week in North Carolina. Source

The fifth season of Netflix’s BoJack Horseman premieres on September 14th. In anticipation, a new full-length trailer has been released. (Read: Netflix’s BoJack Horseman Is the Saddest Show on Television) The trailer sets up a whole new lease on life for BoJack (Will Arnett), as he’s got himself the title role in a new TV detective show called Philbert. Even newfound success can’t keep a bad horse up, though, and the all-too familiar demons of depression, alcoholism, and self-destruction still haunt him. As he tries to ration his booze, his friends Diane (Alison Brie), Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris), and Mr. Peanutbutter (Paul F. Tompkins) do their best to help keep him — and themselves — together. But there’s a sinister secret that threatens to catch up with BoJack, and his good pal Todd (Aaron Paul) might be getting in over his own head. Check out the trailer below. Source -

Tkay Maidza is one of those acts that is more than just on her way, she’s well and truly there. After her latest single Flexin’ we’ve been eagerly awaiting the EP we were promised and let me tell you, it’s a goodun. The EP Last Year Was Weird (Vol 1) is an 8 track epic that shows a diversity we haven’t seen from Tkay just yet, mixing up her vocal styles in more ways than ever before. Finding the perfect mix between rap vocals and harmonic singing, on tracks like Lullabies and White Rose we get an idea of her ability to pull it back, and take a more chilled out approach to her music. Then of course there was the lead single Flexin’ that did just that, flexed on you with her flowy prowess, and was super in your face with an attitude that refused to back down. Whichever song you go to, there’s no doubt that this is Tkay’s best work to date. Check it out below and tell us how it makes you feel! Source

Man of many talents Childish Gambino has released a video for his latest, Feels Like Summer and there are some names in there alright. The video is a chilled back walkthrough of a Summer day in a low key neighbourhood. The cartoon animation itself is stilted in a way that suits the summer vibe that the whole tune is going for. Stripped back and infused with dulcet undertones, it’s a bit of an introspective track. That’s further shown through Donald Glover’s character falling into darkness and himself, meeting a bunch of people on the way. Check out the video and tell us how many of the cameos you recognise! Yvng Jalapeño is somewhat of a local trap legend, having remixed the likes of Paces and UZ as well as having a slew of original releases. This time he’s taken Fisher‘s Losing It and turned it from a festival romper (might remember it got most played at Tomorrowland) into a club stomper, giving it the trap rework we didn’t know we needed. It holds onto that vibrating sound that made the song so popular and adds classic trap sounds, from sirens, to high pitched whirrs and even some from the animal kingdom. The edit doesn’t take itself too seriously and is obviously a bit of fun, so check it out below and tell us what you think, do you prefer it to the original? Source

Dutch promoter Audio Obscura have truly outdone themselves for this year’s ADE party. Known for curating unique experiences at special locations, this October the crew take on a three-day billing you won’t want to miss. The Bijlmerbajes prison is one of the most famous jails in the Netherlands. Opening in 1978, the complex was designed as a humane housing for criminals. Closed for prisoners in 2016, the complex is undergoing a permanent closure which will seal the location for good. Before that, Audio Obscura will host a slew of techno legends over the course of 72 hours. Kicking off the series of events on Thursday is Seth Troxler joined by the iconic Honey Dijon. Together they deliver the spirit of Detroit and Chicago with more than a dash of New York flair. From the earliest days of disco and house, through to the present day. The Friday night will be hosted by none other than Speedy J’s Electric Deluxe label in collaboration with Berlin’s Dystopian. Joining Speedy J on the line-up are Rødhåd, Clouds and Jon Hester. Nina Kraviz brings her трип label to the final night at The Prison, for an unmissable night of twisted music for open minds. The label is known for bringing the spirit of the rave to unusual locations – from remote caves to UFO towers, space museums and pre-historic craters. Performing alongside Kraviz will be members of the трип family drawn from the Netherlands, Russia and Iceland. Follow Audio Obscura for Tickets Source -
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs’ (T-E-E-D) releases have been few and far between lately, his last release in June Leave A Light On being his first in four years. But he’s back, with two tunes in a few months it seems like a pretty good indicator that there’s plenty more to come from T-E-E-D. His new one Body Move is a club ready thumper, filled with big beats mixed in with some industrial sounds to give it a bit of a rounded feel before breaking down into something more melodic. This track almost feels like a mix of three different, but not in a way that makes it uncomfortable or lacking direction and fluency. In saying that, we’ve come to have pretty high expectations from the guy and aren’t one hundred per cent sure if this meets those expectations. Check it out below and make the decisions for yourself, is this what you wanted from ol’ pal T-E-E-D? Source

Black Coffee is heading up a huge wildlife conservation fundraiser aimed at tackling animal cruelty. Playing alongside the likes of Art Department, Lauren Lane, Adam Beyer, DJ Sneak, Ida Engberg, Bedouin and a bunch more, The Night League and Music Against Animal Cruelty (MAAC) have come together calling all dancers to come and party for the good cause. All artists are playing the event for free, with all profits going towards wildlife conservation projects. Co-founder of MAAC, Art Department is putting his full force behind the project, believing that – “This is gonna be a powerful movement when we realise its full potential. We need to be clear that this goes beyond just our community. This isn’t just techno against animal cruelty. This is music against it. This is a global force against treating animals like they have any less right to be here than we do,” This all seems pretty cool to us, so what do you think, is this something more music groups should be getting behind? If you’re a basshead, and you haven’t been introduced to Kyle Hagberg, aka the upcoming talent Kompany, now’s the time to listen up because this bass music producer’s innovative style mixed with his fresh energy pulsing through his music, is propelling this LA-based produced to the top. The emerging bass music DJ & producer appeared on the scene back in 2017, when he initially started serving up his meticulously crafted sound design to the world as a global audience. Getting his start in music as a drummer, Kompany developed quite the ear for rhythm; this crucial detail provided Kyle with the foundation he needed to find success in his current ventures in bass music as Kompany today! Having attended ICON Collective, which fellow ICON Collective alum JAUZ dedicated his stardom towards as he repeatedly gave the impressive music production school credit for his successful career in electronic music. As I discussed with JAUZ in this exclusive ThatDROP.com interview, this music production school is a shining beacon of talent, a strong collective of musical genius, that has produced one success story after the next for artists like NGHTMRE, Slander, Sullivan King, Boombox Cartel, and other ground-breaking talent. Earlier this year, Kompany continued his collaborations with Never Say Die Records, in the form of his four-track “New Reign” EP. Kompany‘s EP kicks off full-force in “Rapture”, building from a tranquil intro into a guttural bass masterpiece. Next is the trippy tune “Override”, which highlights Kompany’s experimental side, and his versatile production capabilities. “Stomp” is literally what it sounds like, with its crunchy bass jabs and heavy-hitting chaos. He wraps it up nicely with “Buck”, a juggernaut of a track with a haunting orchestral outro. The entire EP slaps SO hard with fast-paced energy complemented by Kompany’s signature meticulous sound design. “Extraterrestrial” by TYNAN & Kompany “Extraterrestrial” is out now on Never Say Die Records Stream / Buy ➤ NSD.lnk.to/NSDF029 Check out Kompany’s Newest EP via NSD below: Connect with Kompany on social media and head to his SoundCloud to grab free downloads of his tracks. Pearl Jam hit Boston’s Fenway Park on Sunday night for their first of two “Away Shows” at the iconic baseball stadium. As they have during previous shows of their “Home x Away Tour” (see: The White Stripes’ “We’re Going to Be Friends”, David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel”, and their own “Evil Little Goat”), Eddie Vedder and co. filled their set with surprise covers and rarities. To close the first encore, Pearl Jam honored hometown favorites Buffalo Tom by covering “Taillights Fade” live for the first time. Buffalo Tom frontman Bill Janovitz joined the band on stage, playing guitar and trading off vocals with Eddie Vedder. And during the second encore, Pearl Jam dusted off “Out of My Mind”, the 1995 Vitalogy B-side, for the first time in nine years. Prior to launching into the performance, Vedder searched for the song’s lyrics in his binder, but was unable to find them. “I don’t have the lyrics for this song, so I’m just gonna make it up and try my best,” he told the audience. Pearl Jam return to the stage for a second show at Fenway Park on Tuesday night. After that, they plan to return to the studio to finally begin work on their next album. Source
