Hey everyone i'm not so new here but i haven't actually introduced myself so i thought i probably should! my name is Rick and i DJ by the name of SnatchMD I've been Djing private parties and weddings for about 5-6 years now... i play house, electro, sometimes trance and hard house and love hip hop but don't play as much of that as i used to, and of course commercial stuff for the parties and weddings but obviously prefer to mix my styles! i also produce and have been doing for many years. i completed an EDM course at SAE about 8 years ago and just recently finished an advanced Mixing course at Djsunited DJ school which i highly recommend to anyone wanting to get into this:) i placed 3rd in the "Battle of the DJs" volume 1 this year for the school so pretty proud of that considering the competition i had! Please like my page and follow me on sound cloud and feel free to give me honest (even if its brutal) feedback, i'm always looking to improve and value anyone that can give me something to work on:) cheers

I didn't ever play in adelaide I was only just learning then so didn't have the confidence in my skills as I do now, but I had alot of mates in hospitality there and would have a gig through them if still there.. I played at treasury bar a year ago wjhich was a bit of fun in the courtyard but coz I'm usually there to have my little girl stay overnight it's hard to commit to playing each time I go over...

So just giving a business card with my facebook site and phone number on is no good..? Cd is better yeah? Should I just start anywhere or are smaller places more likely to give a newbie a go?

So is there a best time to go in, I'm guessing while the place is pumping won't be much good...? I have business cards with my Facebook site and ph number on, is it better to ask to talk to the promoter and pass that to them or actually give CDs? hey everyone, I haven't grown up in melbourne so the clubbing world here is a little bit unknown to me, in adelaide I prob knew where to start and had connections to get a start but here I'm not so sure... I've been djing and producing for 8 years now and really want to get a gig! Ive done plenty of private parties and every spare minute I get is spent on mixing/producing.
