awesome88 Posted January 31, 2011 Share Posted January 31, 2011 Hey guys,so we all know my recent attempt at getting into controllers failed with my purchase of the kontrol S4.... buuuuut at least i realised that a controller is the way i want to go, so i thought i would make a new thread to ask opinions again and actually listen to what you guys think this time so basically i'm looking at the new denon DN-MC6000 and the Allen & Heath Xone:DX. I've put the links below, so any help would be great. eggssell Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 apparently its the S4 soundcard. the firmware of the sound card is not capable of being used reliably with windows.in the meantime if you have any other soundcard (an audio2/4/8 or even the cheap $25 USB sound cards) and use that as the interface the S4 works perfectly.NI will likely fix it with the next firmware and fuck something else up as is the norm. I wouldn't buy scratch pro, but I would think about getting pro if you're not going to use S4. also, theres a new version out soonI've got a pro license spare that i'm willing to sell.
