  1. does anyone have that song? could you donate it to me?
  2. WOW, I did not realise how cheap 800's go.... deffs a posibility! 800's with a mixer and audio 4. sounds like a plan
  3. ^ ehh, its something I always get asked, and Ive got alot of competition around atm, so I need every asset I can get my hands on!
  4. WOW, haha nice!
  5. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2x-Pioneer-C ... 2eb65a6426 if I had the moneys Id get em
  6. If something like this pops up around xmas though, its mine. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2x-Pioneer-C ... 2eb65a6426
  7. ^ sounds good, thanks for the straight answer
  8. ^ sounds good! thanks for that man. Theres a 900w one from OZ plaza with good reviews going for $74. So I might look into it. Il also have a look into the martin magnum range as well.
  9. -__-, yes, but then back then I did not realise there was almost nothing that can compete with them. please guys, come on.
  10. Guys, come on, seriously.
  11. ^ because my current one died, and its something I always get asked when they are enquiring about hiring me. can anyone answer my question?
  12. ^ yes, as in id have to bring my NEW gear. Not my mdex. This would be alot later down the line (I have to be 18 ) and id have new gear and the Tupperware would be sold
  13. ^ I was never intending to rock up with the mdex. Im over this thread now :/ but yeh, just to clarafy, sorry jaz, I had no idea about the HID mode and was wondering how two 400's + an audio 4 was going to be cheaper. Thanks for the advice man, and it is deffs a possibility just going to wait till this "sit in" before I choose.
  14. ^ They have a djm 400, a cdj 350 and a cdj 800 and when ever they have a dj, they setup on the main stage, and bring there own gear
  15. Hey guys, my current one has died, (got it for free from a mate though) and I need a new one. Question though, what do watts do in a smoke machine. Like what are the benefits of getting a smoke machine with higher watts?
  16. ^ haha yeh. I can beatmatch btw, just need to be faster at it. and gandy, the clubs gear is pretty b grade, and the booth is pitiful, Il deffs need to set up on the main stage. Also there's a whole heap of tables in front of the booth
  17. Wow, I dident even realise that HID mode even existed! haha now ive seen that, it is a deffs posibility. Btw, if I where to play at my local club, id have to bring my own gear, mostly because the dj booth is in its own corner and not anywhere near the center stage. its a pretty good club, but there arangement of things is shocking
  18. Thanks jas I really appreciate the time you go to, to explain these things to me. but its a little bit of a money question mostly, pretty much its $1100 for the cdj's and then another 800 to 1000 for the mixer. So all up its alot of money, not to mention If I wanted to intergrate it with software, it will cost me again for the scratch live. Another reason is the all in one (although it does have its flaws) the "Ease of set-up" factor is alot better. Also there's the possibility that I can take this as carry on luggage if I do decide to re open that door I closed before P.s. il be using the $1000 in awards I get + some of my own money to buy this all.
  19. more effects, ability to use 4 decks, all in one. But the main thing is that all my music is one place, personally I find usb's a pain in the ass.
  20. Well done, five stars!
  21. ^ I can do that with a ddj - t1, and it imitates two 400's and a 4ch mixer.
  22. Sorry for aggrovatin ya crundy, but like I said before, il wait to I sit in on this gig in 2 weeks time before In make any decisions.
  23. ^ yes gandy, partialy, because unfortunately the bastards that would hire me judge people by what gear they have
  24. nothing like being informed... anyway, my honest opinion is that I think you should buy CDJ400's and a 2 chanel mixer (prob a djm400) and here is why: 1 -2nd hand, they should fit your budget 2- you can mix cd's and learn "the art" of beatmatching 3 - you can use them as controllers for traktor 4 - this setup is easily portable, and road cases are easily available 5 - you can integrate them with a DVS system down the track 6 - they have an inbuilt sound card so you can use one as a sound card for itunes when you're lazy or having a break. 7 - they are similar to cdj1000s etc and you will feel confident in a club, if you choose to get gigs when you're older 8 - they are still professional bits of equipment, and don't the same stigma as a controller 9 - If you get sick of them, and find they aren't for you then you won't lose much money (if any) if you sell them 10 - I can't think of a 10th reason anyway, thats my opinion.... at the end of the day, it's your money sounds good! thanks lloydc (p.s. Ive finally got the hang of beat-matching, just got to get quicker at it) but i think im going to PIRATE a charter boat http://www.cristgaming.com/pirate.swf
