  1. Ok so at risk of sounding like a complete idiot, can you explain to me what the boxes are on each side of your laptop. Im still learning of all the different combinations and ways of djing.
  2. Thanks DF - they are good fun! I do have to drag myself away from them constantly!
  3. .... & tnx SolDios!!
  4. Maybe if you look after them they will last longer to see a few more bumps. My thoughts exactly.... I don't really want to shell out another 300 bank if I can help it.
  5. Nice one ysm! I've always wanted to play an instrument, looks like you got it goin owwnnn! Nice set-up dflux - i feel you pain regarding the space..... I'm cramped here at my place as well ! Lloyd - loving the 1600.... ping pong & beat break effects are tops
  6. Needs to bring someone in that can actually DJ for that
  7. I travel a bit for work and wouldn't mind taking them to listen to my music on the plane etc. Worried they may get damaged in my bag.
  8. If I could master all 3 things at once that would be massive!!
  9. Lately, someones needs to drag me away from the decks to "obtain" some ladies. HA!
  10. I'm looking for a hard case for my HD25's, but can't really find any. I like the "Slappa" case but not sure if they fit, some people say yes some say no.....
  11. Tnx guys, as you can see it's sitting on my lounge room chair as currently I live in a shoe box and have limited room. Love the link feature on the 900's! I also have a couple of M-Audio CX5's with stands which i am about to get out of the car and set-up.
  12. My 900's & DN X1600 providing me with good times! (not too sure how to attach photo's so hope this works). http://s1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh537/DionDJ83/?action=view&current=IMG_0744.jpg
  13. I'm hearing ya - that's good enough for me
  14. Hi All, I have just recently bought a complete new set up (2xCDJ900's & Denon DN X1600 mixer). It was a toss up between the Pio DJM700 or the Denon. I went for the Denon - from what i could make of all the info i looked up, the Pio is industry standard, but the Den (1600)is a better mixer. What do you guys think.....? I mean i love the Den but I'm a newb and might be missing something!
  15. Thanks guys for your help guys! Sorry about the Q's in the wrong spot, i re-post in the right section. Just quickly in response to Mitch & SolDios - I have set-up my rekordbox and it's great! I guess one of the reasons I was asking about software is that when i hear about "auto sync etc" it's kinda off putting when your putting in the work to get everything beat matched and mixed properly.... but someone with that software can come in and "Auto Sync" and boom..... perfect transition. I'll hit up the guys in the right section, because i wouldn't mind getting some views on what people think.
  16. Welcome mate. I was in Headland about a month ago for work. It really is a remote place.... Well to me anyway as I'm from Melb.
  17. Hi All, I'm new to DJing, about 8 years ago my friend introduced me to it on his vinyl decks and mixer and i have been wanting to get serious. Since then i have played around with friends equipment & decided to get my own gear and get into it. I bought 2x CDJ900's and a Denon DN X1600. I was racking my brain on whether to get a Pio DJM700 or the Denon..... basically from the information I got I came to the conclusion that Pio is the industry standard, but the Denon DN X1600 got a better review so i went with that. (If anyone has any info I would be grateful to hear some feedback from you guys). Also, i really just muck around with my hardware, but read a lot about good software (Traktor - Serato etc). I have done a party or 2 and mostly am a bit of a bedroom DJ but just love doing it, however i really just mix one track to the other with some minimal effects at this stage (i have only had my gear about a month). Would it be a good idea to invest in these software programs and see what they have to offer, or would this not be of much benefit to me at this stage.
