Cheers Mitch. I'm thinking about getting software, does that give you a more accurate representation of the BPM?
-
I understand and do use my ears, however I still would like to know if that's the case?
-
Sup all.... Just wondering on the CDJ2000's, the BPM counter has a decimal place. (i.e. 126.4) so does that mean you don't really need to beat match? set both your tunes at 126.4 for instance time it right... and boom, they will be in sync. I have 900's but they have the BPM and a percentage, so you obviously need to take more time nailing the timing. I'm sure you guys / gals already know that some tunes can be a real bitch to match, but they go so well together, so if the decimal works how I think it does, it would make life that much easier match 'em up quickly. Cheers

Haha that would have been something! I'm just on Beatport now checking out some nu disco tracks. Might post another mix with the said tracks. Thanks for the support guys.

Awesome!! Can't wait to See how much they'll want for it. -
OK so I have had my gear for about 3 months now (2x 900's & Denon DN X1600) and thinking of getting some software however I'm not too sure as to what benefits it will provide. I do have Rekordbox and hook up my playlist through there. What else can I look forward to if I buy Traktor or Serato? Thanks.....

Yeah man, a mate put me on to it. It's called "can't get better than this - Parachute Youth". Not too sure what Genre you call it.... If you have any other tracks that you think are the same genre let me know, it's more my style. The rest of the mix is more housey elecktro I guess (which I also like) but I dig the cruisey stuff as well!

OK... so 3 months now of fairly regular mixing and this is what I have have come with so far. No logic, just my 900's and Denon Mixer. Let me know what you think.... http://soundcloud.com/dion3/pre-future-mix-2012

Wow, that doesn't look half bad and it incorporates slip mode which is a bonus! Apart from the size, the display looks rather nice too!

Top article!! I haven't got much basis for comparison, but I love my HD25's.

No Traktor yet, but Definately want to explore those options at some stage.
-
you realise that you practically have an audio8 soundcard built into your mixer, right? Oh yeah... But I was more talking about controllers / programs, but for me at this stage I love the hands on hardware!
-
Welcome Bruz! Love the old school hip hop stuff!
-
Cool! :toughguy: Id like to play around with different types of gear eventually. Nice one Sol-D!

Thanks lads! I guess with using these controllers and programs like Traktor the beat matching and transitions would be seamless?
