For house I definately wouldn't be swinging the kick or the main snare, but cymbals and like incidental snare/perc and ghost notes should be swung. Haven't made a house track for a long time, haha, and when I did, I didn't use the groove engine, but at the moment I just use the normal swing in the groove pool thing, 16-5, with lots of random works really well for like 2-step/future garage stuff.

Pros: -Like how the synth line comes in -a really cool synth line might I add -Love the vocoded vocal -Big drop! Definately a dancefloor killer -I hear a bit of designer drugs in that sidechained lead (the DJs not actual drufs) -Sickness on the half time break! Got the dubstep beat goin nicely -Pretty huge tune. Cons: -Umm nothing, actually love it! -Actually, it kinda sounds a bit weird on the drum fill goin into the second drop, like its kinda weak, or off time or something, not sure, but thats it. Brilliant stuff!

Heres a little effects rack I made the other day. http://www.mediafire.com/?jmyjmijonrn Its a frequency splitter, great for splitting up basslines, and effecting the different ranges. All you need to do is use the macros. Of course this is basic, add more effects to the md and highs for a more unique sound any questions on it, dont hesitate to ask

delete the things that sound rubbish, start fresh with a new loop, keeping the parts that you liked, continuously smash your head against your keyboard until you finish the tune. For me, usually if I dont finish like the main skeleton and get my ideas out within and hour or so, the track will end up shite, but its always good to force a track to the end, it will be crap but finishing is the only way to progress, if that makes sense

eah, like someone replies to a thread you've posted in you get an email, and if 50 people post before you see it you get like a million emails (hyperbole ) I dont want those. There is a way to do Im sure, I dont know how though, dont phpbb have tuts on their site? and jonny I like the emails cause when I logged into msn I get the little pop up saying you've received an email from blah blah and boom, to adjf

For those who have instant reply to thread notification jiggy on, you know you get flooded with emails. I know DSF have it so you only receive a new notification after you've viewed the reply, is there any way to do it on here, I think they are phpbb too.
