hey guys I'm having some trouble finding avenues(outside of this forum) to promote my music at the moment mostly different sub genres of house, is there any good radio shows, podcasts, labels and producers/dj's that you recommend i send my songs to just for some simple promotion and feedback? if you could suggest something that would be awesome! and by "good" i mean friendly and willing to help.

hey guys, unless it is hiding from me ive realised there is no attachment button like there is when sending an email for example. Is there a way that there could be a attachment button put in so i could upload pictures of patches or songs straight from my hard drive instead of going through the trouble of uploading it else where then linking it because some of the content i want to put up here especially songs i only want the forums ears listening. Not sure if there is already a way i can do this or if it is to hard or not possible but it would be mega helpful to have one. thanks

yeah i was reading that avicii drinks a shit tonne, to cope with "stage fright". Could have quite possibly been drunk and would not of been able to beat match to save his life.

yeah in sync for sure i guess i have to accept its more about the show than the skill of djing, just interesting how its accepted. Tomy what do you think about New World Sounds, you guys are down the same neck of the woods i believe ?

yeah i guess his cdj 2000's would have alot of cue points ready to go and all that and he wouldve played the set many times by now but still just annoying, pioneer need to stop making it so easy because if thats how its going to be in the next couple of years they have gone to far.

it depends where you want to end up aswell, if you are into bangers and want to end up djing at a club then id suggest getting pioneers the closest ones you can find to a club set but i find if you are more into house and want some controlability and want to add a "live" element to your music with effects and things like that go the s4, eg when i go to a party where i don't want to be using effects etc only really a filter i will take my pioneers and for the convenience of no laptop and press play on those bangers all night but then if im feeling like Richie Hawtin or Deadmau5 i will get out my s4 and start throwing in some tech house and effects and live loops.

s4's are good, only just recently after getting out my s4 again i realise how much you actually can do within traktor pro 2 software when paired with a great hardware controller like the s4, if second hand is ever something you are interested pm me and we MIGHT be able to work out a deal otherwise you sound like you have some good basic knowledge so good luck and just have fun with it! and any headphones with 2 working cups will do.

ok so last night i attended the Melbourne leg of the Avicii True tour and yes i had a really good time the supporting acts Throttle, New World Sound and Joel Fletcher all played really well dropped some awesome tunes, visually every aspect of the show was fantastic including a big 10 minute firework display a grand one at that but disappointingly well for me at least anyway was the fact that the inspiration for my producing career my first real artist i was heavily into only put his headphones over his ears 3 TIMES DURING HIS 2 HOUR SET!! not only this the only times he EVEN TOUCHED the cdj's was WHEN HE WORE HIS HEADPHONES. Now yes i knew he was a shitty dj to begin with and ive never cared for it ive only cared for his amazing productions like seek bromance and his creative remixes but at his own show! i would expect him to at least.... i'm not going to make any accusations but i hope you can all pick up what i am putting down and if im wrong or im ignorant about something please tell me but all in all it was a great night he dropped some oldies which was awesome but im just jaw dropped at how he got away with only putting on his headphones three times and using the mixer as if he was a choreographed. sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum aswell just needed to vent quick with my forum buddies.

Ok so at about 1.20 a chord progression starts and ive always wondered and not just in this song but others this one just has a clear example how do you get the wobble in pitch or something at the end of the notes being played. question of mine for many years. thanks p.s im using ableton live 8 and the synth im using is sylenth1.

i like this, its really different but the tempo of it works well.
