Maschine Studio & Maschine 2 First Look
ethanmansfield replied to yizzle's topic in Music Production
I really need to get my self a form of maschine, only hearing good things about them and NI in general. Cant complain about my s4 other than they released another one... dropping the price of mine haha. I like the idea of the identifiable sound. Also what even is portability these days? i saw some guy about a month ago running for a train with a Novation launch key 49 under his arm. -
Im liking swiss dubs stuff aswell, couldnt find any notorious though just a deadly martin luther king drum and bass one. And no thanks necessary fiend just keep up the good work.
-
thanks man will do
-
yeah man thats deadly!! im digging it, added to my favorites.

dude that second trap like drop is mega i really like it alot!!! but the rest is good qual just sorta repetitive with the synth and the melody, wouldve been cool if it had more of a trap feel the whole way through never the less worth a follow

I've stumbled across a few of these over the past 6 months and im really digging them, the one linked below really caught my ear though just really well done. any one got any others ?? just incase anyone hasnt already heard one of these powerful mashups.( i suppose thats what youd call it ?)

building a playlist with no experience?
ethanmansfield replied to ethanmansfield's topic in DJ Headquarters
thanks eggssell that is a helpful starting point i think you are on the money with some of those artists. and i think im aloud to put some hip hop in aswell but nothing to underground i suppose, basically i want to give abit of a house taste into the mixtape and see what they think but keep it centered around mainstream R&B, hip hop is something i have alot of respect for but is a whole other dimension away in terms of my knowledge for it. -
so fellas, i have recently made the jump from bedroom to parties and one of my mates joins me to form a duo i suppose, there is a underage gig coming up requesting dj's who want a chance to dj to submit an R&B mixtape, my partner wants to pounce on this opportunity and i do to i guess because i could make friends with some of the crew in this club problem is the last time i listened to a full length R&B track was in grade 6( 6 years ago) so im really not in the loop of R&B is there any tips for pulling this off and is there any R&B dj's who can list a few tracks that would really be good for an underage audience. thanks

DJM 700 question(midi)Help!?!
ethanmansfield replied to ethanmansfield's topic in Mixers & Controllers
haha ive got the keyboard but not interface, and im not 100% sure one what i do but i just want the options there if i ever feel like doing some controllerism or some liver performance, but thanks man that answered my question! -
OK so I'm not sure if this is a stupid question but im going to ask it anyway, can i run a DJM 700 into ableton live 8 and then have my midi key board going into one channel in ableton? and then like a launch pad or something else triggering effects and songs maybe. if so how would i go about setting it all up and wiring it in, and just explain how the whole concept sort of works. Thank you

So fellas ive got 2 cdj 800 mk2 and a djm 700 sitting on my desk right now and ive basically said im buying them and will be paying up soon, they are definitely quite used all though at the party i used them at on the weekend they performed with out fail and are in fully working order (ive been told they have served with some melb sounds guys which is cool) i just want to know how much life after 3 owners will the cdj's have ? they have just had a service in the past month aswell. Ive been asked to pay 1.1k for the set up aswell including a road case. all help appreciated.
-
yeah man pounce while you can because when i asked them for the layby when they had the same deal minus the djm 250 they said no because it was the last and they dont lie so if you want it go for it! and best of luck
-
looks awesome, loving that mixer along side the midi gear reminds me of a richie hawtin or deadmau5 like set up so nioce!
-
i wouldnt say that it matters that the 1000's are out of date they are much better experience for the club scene i remember wanting to get cdj 350's for my first set up i ended up with traktor s4's and now with pioneer 800 set up i can say get something that takes cds so in your case yes the 350's do have cd players and is a good setup for a good price i think you should go for that as $800 is a great price for a first setup. just another suggestion though im not to sure about these but there is no harm in taking a look http://www.jbhifi.com.au/pro-dj/pioneer ... ku-999991/

played my first gig last night at a house party( finally out of the bedroom) it was weird because i wasn't nervous at all whereas the other guy who djed was nervous as, the gig was short lived because alot of people showed up gate crashed etc and everyone was really drunk so it got closed down. It was a really good learning experience especially djing for over 100 people for my first gig, learning how people respond to what songs etc... i used cdj 800's mk2 and a djm 700 which i really enjoy using(love the cd's) I ended up hiring from dj city the 15 inch AVE's i was using i was really impressed with they filled the large property i was on with sound and i had them on the floor so there was some bass. all in all a good experience. hoping i can dj all the 18ths in the coming year.

quite different to your last three but none the less a great track keep it up. (especially in them unearthed charts)
