  1. Im just using an old laptop stand, i dont know the make
  2. There's a crazy amount of information to learn about music theory, im studying a BA Music and im still struggling to get my head around it. I reckon it helps if you know at least the basics of music theory. Scales, triads, basic chord progressions. This will give you the basis of your piece you will be creating... This is a good link to learn about Concepts Of Music: http://wrightstuffmusic.com/wp-content/uploads/music-1-aural-concepts-2007.pdf The concepts of music will help you analyse and break down the song, you will have a understanding of how composers/producers intentionally compose their songs.
  3. Is it a specific type of genre?

  9. Looks neat! Kinda looks like Logic X, Ableton and protools had a threesome and this was the product. Would like to see how it actually performs. I found an aussie price and a free trial download here http://www.djcity.com.au/bitwig-studio Do you reckon it will be worth it?
  10. If your looking for classic style cdjs with USB option maybe check out the CDJ400s.
  11. That is true a mixer is a mixer!!! They have the same purpose but its how you utilise your tools at the end of the day! A Bad tradesman blames his tools. But in saying that if you wanna hit the clubs and wanna feel comfortable using the club equipment, i reckon stick to Pioneer mixers. You don't need pioneer to be 'Club Ready' but it does make it easier. Most clubs are using either the DJM800 or 900NXS, remember you dont need to go for the most expensive mixer, all these new mixers are predecessor of the old ones so if you get the hang of older model mixers, more likely you will get used to the new ones in no time.
  12. Bang!! Hit the nail on the head! Good helpful read!
