OxyKon Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Well-regarded dubstep pioneer Skream has made his love for disco quite clear. While his remixes to Duke Dumont’s “Need U (100%)” and Rudimental’s “Hell Could Freeze” walked the line between house, deep, and disco, Skream’s latest original is a representation of his full metamorphosis. From quick and clean guitar licks, to Sam Frank’s falsetto, to the Latin keys, ”Rollercoaster” is quintessentially disco. The tune draws an obvious semantic comparison to Ohio Players’ “Love Rollercoaster,” and could easily serve as a modern re-imagining of the 1975 disco classic. The track is tentatively scheduled for an October 27th release. https://soundcloud.com/skreamizm/skream-rollercoaster-feat-sam-frankSource: dancingastronaut.com Quote
