so Im curious, when using 850's with traktor via midi, do you have to plug the laptop into the mixer via its audio out? or does it feed the audio back into the 850 (the more logical option)
So guys, what are your current most requested songs guys? Mine are: Party rock anthem (as always) Give me everything ( " ") Commander - Kelly Roland How bout you guys?
People keep going on about how the cdj 1000 is the best how it's industry standard? But I thought you guys said the 900 was the bench line. Even the 850 seems better than the 1000 (accept for the slower wave form processing) So whats the deal? I have seen quite a few cdj 1000's displayed in clubs around adealade :S
^ It doesn't recognise folders well, and wont read anything with more than 999. Also it doesn't indicate names of folders, and just puts every single folder in one big list.
Create an offline profile? Even when theres an account on the local machine, it still try's to search for it on the non existent network, then it has to wait for it to timeout before it logs in. Takes 5mins +
I decided to go with saving for the 850's because of the usb input, and the midi interface (I think thats what its called) so you can use it with record box or traktor, serato and VDJ.
^ if I did that it would read EVERY single audio file on the mac, so id have to be sorting though all the system sounds. Not sure if the usb port has enough power to support a 2.5" port hd
Ive had a demo of a pair of beats before. There good, but not worth the cash, get a pair of XD 53's. Not just for the sound quality, but the plastic of the beats is very flimsy, and flaps all over the place if moved even slightly.
