Yeh, if I have a request, instead of hunting though cd's to find the song, I switch the mixer so it reads from a line input instead of one of the decks.

:S dont worry, when I was choosing what I wanted to get I had exactly the same problem. What I eventually did was write down all my options, then the pro's and con's of each, then that helped me decide what was best.

Prehaps if your looking at an midi controller, conceder the newmark mix track pro (not the regular one because the you need an extra sound card). Its only about $300 and can at least give you something to play around with while you work up enough money for things like speakers if your planning to mobile dj.

the pioneer ddj-t1/s1 is a very good piece of equipment! I was considering it once, mainly because I like how spaced out it is. I like cd dj's but I also want to upgrade to a midi controller C: Mainly because I like to use alot of samples and one shots in my mixes. Also as a wise man-thing once said, if you cant dj without a laptop, then you shouldn't be dj'ing. <---(something tells me Im going to get alot of shit for that) now we just have to wait for awesome to recommend the mc-6000...

yeh, dont worry ive used 350's, Dj I sat in on with was using them, he let me have a mess around before everyone rocked up, good times C:. Im not dissing the other pioneer stuff, or even the 350's. All im saying is that the mdex 3 is better value for money.

Hey guys, about to start filming a new episode, It will be on buying gear, but one of the main focuses will be on breaking the bad impression of the mdex 3 mixer. Honestly, id rather have this instead of 2 cdj350's and a mixer. And not just because of the $1,750 price difference, It can pretty do everything you would need it to do, it just doesn't have any fancy features like effects or bpm lock, or an auto bpm reader. Which is good in a way, because it means your learning not to rely on it, and you can get a taste wether you like dj'ing or not without a huge money commitment anyways, if there is anything you would like to include/disguss, please leave in section below. oh, and I have an mdex 3 mixer also for sale at $200. (got an extra one in a recently brought package). Will be on ebay soon!
