  1. Back in September, Australia’s Methyl Ethel released “Scream Whole”, a single whose origins partially traced back to the works of Jean-Paul Satre and Scott Walker. Today, Methyl Ethel mastermind Jake Webb has announced a new album on which “Scream Whole” appears. Titled Triage, it’s the proper follow-up to 2017’s Everything Is Forgotten and Webb’s fourth LP overall under the CoSigned Methyl Ethel moniker. The 4AD debut was written, produced, and performed in its entirety by Webb, with recording taking place in his West Perth home studio. (Read: Austin City Limits 2017 Festival Review: Top 10 Sets) According to a press statement, the album came together as Webb settled back into a routine in his hometown — the same process that helped birth his earlier records. “I got obsessed with a lot of theory, essentially trying to discover how songs work,” he noted. Triage was a result of these introspective thinking sessions and song dissections. It’s said to be “more reflective” than its predecessors, one that “explores the notion of coming of age, only to reference it for the snapshots and passing memories that it has become.” In Webb’s own words, it’s “cold logic for warm bodies.” The forthcoming LP is slated for release on February 15th, 2019, and is being teased with “Real Tight”, a self-described “surrealist love song.” Take a listen below via its Matt Sav-directed music video. 3. LA based up and coming DJ and producer Mickey Valen is back with a brand new single in the form of ‘Chills’ ft Joey Myron and we’ve been given the exclusive premiere. The effort serves as Valen’s first release on label CloudKid, and will follow his highly successful single ‘Move That Body’ which currently boasts millions of plays across YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud. Joey Myron’s voice brings in the track with mellow, filtered synths and live sounding rim shots and a slow hi hat groove. Disrupted by a synth emulating a record stop, the laid back vibes begin to pick up as the vocals hasten and the drums become more present. The drop comes rushing at you and blows you back with distorted, warping synth swells and vocal chops that play out a melody. Valen says: “I’m excited to be back releasing a new single for my project entitled ‘Chills’ featuring Joey Myron. Over the past year I have worked hard on producing and writing not only for my own project, but for other artists in the industry as well. I believe a lot of this work will flood out in 2019 and I’m extremely excited to share it with everyone. In the production I wanted to combined past familiar elements such as distorted bass and vocal chops and intertwine them with chopped up guitar and vocal hums. The call and response between the vocals and guitar created something I feel is really unique and tasteful. I’m glad to be sharing this tune and look forward to continue pushing my project to new limits in 2019.” It’s a huge release that’s dropped just in time for the weekend! Give ‘Chills’ a listen below. 4. Sometimes you need a fun track in the morning to really start your day off right – enter the Sebastian Pérez remix of MKTO’s hit “How Can I Forget.” The original is an incredible ballad… but it’s a ballad, it’s quite slow. In that respect, it’s hardly appropriate for the dance floor. That’s where Pérez comes in. Keeping MKTO’s brilliant harmonized vocals, Pérez adds a layer of percussion and bumps up the tempo to make it into a high-energy, bouncy house heater. Just try to not move when this one drops! We sincerely bet you can’t. The rhythm is infectious and the vocals are a total earworm. Pretty soon, you’ll be shouting out “How can I forget!” along with everyone else. Check out the remix from Sebastian Pérez below! MKTO – How Can I Forget (Sebastian Pérez Remix) This article was first published on Your EDM. 5. Since 2001, Ice-T has dutifully played the role of Detective “Fin” Tutuola on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU. Proudly hailing from Harlem, Fin is often known for delivering sage advice and witticisms informed by his hardened street smarts. As a former member of the Narcotics division, he’s also the cop everyone (and the internet) turns to for a heads up on the latest drugs making the rounds in Brooklyn. However, despite portraying this character for nearly 20 years, Ice-T has admitted to perhaps the worst crime a supposed native New Yorker could commit: He has never eaten a bagel. When asked on Twitter about his favorite bagel type, the rapper-actor replied bluntly, “I’ve never eaten a bagel in my life.” Fans, unable to believe their tried and true Fin had never feasted on Murray’s — or anyone’s — Bagels quickly dug through the archives. “You had a cinnamon raisin one on SVU,” one fan pointed out, to which Ice-T responded heartlessly, “Lol. TV is make believe.” The 60-year-old later addressed the internet backlash to his especially heinous crime, “… Don’t lose your fn minds because I’ve never eaten a bagel… take it easy.” It’s easy to say, “Take it easy,” but if you’re gonna play the part of proud New Yorker for two decades, maybe uh, really play the part. Plus, bagels are fucking delicious. I had an “Everything” bagel just yesterday (from a spot in South Brooklyn) and I’m sad I’m not eating one right this very minute. You’re missing out, my guy. Lol. I’ve never eaten a Bagel in my life… https://t.co/1a4jtL9qTP — ICE T (@FINALLEVEL) November 9, 2018 Lol. 6. Each week we break down our favorite song, highlight our honorable mentions, and wrap them all up with other staff recommendations into a playlist just for you. Ariana Grande is back with a vengeance after her highly publicized breakup with Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson. Her new release, “thank u, next”, is a pure pop banger in every sense of the phrase, combining Grande’s classic sugary sweetness with a newfound sense of gratitude for all that her past relationships have given her. “One taught me love/ One taught me patience/ One taught me pain,” the star sings, reminiscing on the loves of her life with equal fondness and retrospective wisdom. Sassy and poignant lyrics like these float over a catchy R&B beat, and by the end of “thank u, next”, any listener would be singing along. The single seemed to be a direct response to a gag made by Davidson on last week’s SNL promos, where he jokingly proposed to Maggie Rogers and then muttered “0 for 3.” Though we’ll never know if Grande had this in store before that moment, “thank u, next” is a clear move for Grande to take back the power from her past to propel herself into the future. –Clara Scott Contributing Writer _______________________________________________________ HONORABLE MENTIONS Iceage – “Balm of Gilead” This grave new track from the Danish punk rock band Iceage is deliciously dark, full of snarling vocals that only gain in intensity after the startling open line, “Finish up Mama, you vicious carnivore.” –Laura Dzubay Vince Staples – “Feels Like Summer” It may be November, but this melody-rich, attention-grabbing opening track from Vince Staples’s phenomenal FM! might be almost immersive enough to convince you otherwise. –Laura Dzubay LCD Soundsystem – “(We Don’t Need This) Fascist Groove Thang” This politically fused Heaven 17 cover is genuinely groovy, a powerful union of retro synth-pop and LCD Soundsystem’s rich electronic capabilities. –Laura Dzubay William Tyler – “Fail Safe” The guitars are what carry William Tyler’s “Fail Safe”, building and blooming for three minutes alongside a persistent drum track that evokes a serene autumn bike ride. — Laura Dzubay King Princess – “Pussy Is God” King Princess’ new single is straight-up sweet — the meta background of “New release, new release,” rings a catchy and unabashed message of affection, with lines like, “I think you’re so cute when you get high/ I’ve never been good at this nice shit/ But I can try if you like it.” — Laura Dzubay _________________________________________________________ OTHER SONGS WE’RE SPINNING Bob Dylan – “Call Letter Blues – Take 1” Even with Bob Dylan being Bob Dylan, it would have been tough to see the first-rate quality of More Blood, More Tracks coming; “Call Letter Blues – Take 1” is a perfect example of the ’70s-Dylan callback we may not have known we needed, reaching back in time like a lost parallel version of “Meet Me in the Morning” and resurrecting the guitar thrums and understated poetry that made the original album a masterpiece. — Laura Dzubay Mona Haydar – “Barbarian” “If they’re civilized, I’d rather stay savage,” Mona Haydar declares at the beginning of new track “Barbarian”, a proclamation of confidence in the face of prejudice that merges Haydar’s air-tight flow with catchy saxophone hooks that will stick in your head for weeks. –Clara Scott Tobi Lou – “Orange” Tobi Lou is quickly making a name for himself in gentle, magical hip-hop, and “Orange” is a prime recent example of why, as the artist mulls over love, his childhood, and society, all amidst a dreamy and fuzzy soundscape. –Laura Dzubay Carly Rae Jepsen – “Party For One” After the smash hit success of her last album, Emotion, Carly Rae Jepsen has bounded back onto the charts with single “Party for One”, a self-empowerment anthem that carries all of Jepsen’s trademarks to create characteristically solid pop that will stand the test of time. –Clara Scott _________________________________________________________ THIS WEEK’S PLAYLIST Source

  8. Two worlds collide as Illenium provides us with another emotionally-charged production and Call Me Karizma lays down confessional lyrics for a dynamic new collaborative single. “God Damnit” is a pop track with an edge and much Illenium flair. The release represents a bold progression for the producer, as he creates an unpredictable world around the storyline. Although the focus is on imperfections and insecurities, the superbly crafted track begs to differ — there’s hardly a flaw to be found here. If streaming the music just isn’t enough, make sure to catch Illenium on his Awake 2.0 Tour. He has a sold out three night run in San Francisco, and three more sold out shows in NYC, but he’s also hitting up Chicago, Denver and more. See the full list of tour dates below. 9. All That Remains released their ninth studio album, Victim of the New Disease, today (November 9th) and the disc arrives just weeks after the tragic death of the band’s longtime guitarist Oli Herbert. Today, the band revealed that guitar virtuoso Jason Richardson (All Shall Perish, Chelsea Grin, Born of Osiris) will join All That Remains for their upcoming European tour with Sevendust. In addition to the bands he’s played in, Richardson also showcases his guitar skills on a popular YouTube channel. “Losing Oli has been a tremendous blow to the core of ATR,” frontman Phil Labonte and the band members said in a statement today. “But I know he wouldn’t want anything other than for us to continue. He loved this record so much — it’s some of our best work. We look forward to sharing the music with everyone—seeing our fans from the stage. From where Oli loved most. It’ll be cathartic. We’ll need it to be.” The statement also encourages fan participation, explaining, “If you are particularly inspired, we welcome you to submit tributes, covers, riffs, photos, stories, or a good old fashioned video air guitar with us, via the submission page at http://allthatremainsonline.com/site/rememberingoli. Oli loved seeing people take a shot at his riffs, and we loved watching him enjoy them.” All That Remains are expected to announce new North American tour dates soon. Source

  11. Perhaps even more revealing of the current state of dance music than the DJ Mag Top 100 is the list of 101-150, the DJs who just barely missed the cut off. Many of the DJs whom fans cried out, “Why isn’t [xxxx] on the list!?” have made it onto this supplementary one. And in a lot of way, this could be thought of as an even more legitimate list by many. Of course, as we’ve said before, no one single list will satisfy all customers. This year’s DJ Mag 101-150 list includes a number of producers who are either rising through the ranks, have fallen in popularity off the Top 100, or some legacy acts that just won’t disappear. Jauz just barely misses the Top 100, coming in at 102. The same could be said of fast-riser Julian Jordan who comes in at 106. Household name Martin Solveig ranks number 112 which Dutch party duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano clock in at 117. Krewella still hang out at 119, despite a rather slow year for releases and shows. Yves V, despite the massive support from the whole Tomorrowland team, still only makes it to 120. Galantis makes it to 123, legends Erick Morilllo and Paul Oakenfold rank 128 and 129 respectively, Malaa gets in at 139, and Fatboy Slim hits 140. Slushii just barely makes the 150, coming in at the end of the list. (He actually dropped from last year, when he made it to 101.) And Jack Ü, despite breaking up years ago, still remains at 148. See the full list of 101-150 below. 101. Black Coffee 102. Jauz 103. Alexander Popov 104. Major Lazer 105. Borgore 106. Julian Jordan 107. Henri PFR 108. D-Block & S-te-Fan 109. Warface 110. 12. Fever 333 — who feature former letlive frontman Jason Aalon Butler, Night Verses drummer Aric Improta and former Chariot guitarist Stephen Harrison — are gearing up to release their debut studio album. The band will release their debut full-length, Strength In Numb333rs, on January 18th via Roadrunner Records. The group released an EP, Made An America, in March. Fever 333 have also unleashed an official music video for the album’s first single, a Rage Against the Machine meets Linkin Park scorcher called “Burn It”. The clip, which was directed by Butler and Djay Brauner, can be seen below. “The movement is much greater than the music,” Butler previously stated about Fever 333, adding that they want to center on “community, charity and change.” “The art is only a contingent piece,” he continued. “We want to make sure we’re just as involved in the activism and actual activation. By no means do we expect other artists to take on this task.” “Most of the people who made big improvements were either assassinated or just called crazy. We make it ostensibly clear that everything we do is in an active effort for change,” Butler added. “It’s about bringing back that socio-political mindfulness. We’re trying to write the soundtrack to the revolution that we know is about to happen.” Find the album’s full track list below, and find pre-order details here. Fever 333 are currently on the road in Europe with Bring Me The Horizon on their worldwide “First Love Tour” and will be back in the U.S. in January for the tour’s North American leg. 13. Twenty-five years ago today, Wu-Tang Clan dropped Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), their landmark debut which would go on to invaluably influence generations of rappers to come. To celebrate, the hip-hop collective’s hometown of Staten Island (or Shaolin, as they dubbed it) has officially declared November 9th “Wu-Tang Clan Day”. What’s more, record label Certified Classics has shared a new short film celebrating Enter the Wu-Tang. “Through the words of the members of Wu-Tang, they recount the founding principles that brought them together as a group,” reads a press statement, “the struggles of growing up and how this fueled their lyrical content, the production of key songs and the lasting impact of the album.” (Read: The 25 Greatest Hip-Hop Debut Albums of All Time) Directed by Shomi Patwary, the 17-minute For The Children: 25 Years of Enter The Wu–Tang (36 Chambers) also features interviews with ASAP Rocky, ASAP Ferg, Joey Bada$$, and other contemporary MCs, all of whom discuss the record’s enduring legacy and how it helped inspire their own respective careers. Watch the short film below. The surviving members of Wu-Tang — that’s RZA, GZA, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Cappadonna, and Masta Killa — appeared on Good Morning America today to talk about their iconic album. They also performed their classic single “Protect Ya Neck”. Catch that replay below. Last month, Wu-Tang reunited on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and performed both “C.R.E.A.M.” and “Protect Ya Neck”. It was also revealed that RZA is in the process of developing a Wu-Tang-inspired scripted series at Hulu. Revisit 1993’s Enter the Wu-Tang in all its glory below. Source
  14. Americans have gotten fretfully comfortable with how old actions can affect present careers if enough Internet Outrage is stirred. We can take some solace that it’s not just an issue in the States, though, as Korean pop stars BTS had a Japanese TV appearance axed thanks to a T-shirt depicting the atomic bomb. There are conflicting reports about whether band member Jimin wore the shirt this past August or last year to celebrate Korea’s Liberation Day, but either way it’s the imagery of the attire that’s become the issue. The shirt features the words “Patriotism Our History Liberation Korea” repeated next to an image of an atomic bomb’s mushroom cloud (though it’s hard to tell, it appears to be the Nagasaki explosion) and a picture of Koreans being liberated from Japanese colonialism. Japan ruled the Korean Peninsula from 1910 until the end of Asia’s involvement in World War II, which was brought about when Japan surrendered following the USA’s use of two atomic bombs. The decades of colonial rule have resulted in cultural tension between Japan and Korea, especially with the latter’s liberation tied so inextricably to the most horrifically deadly act in wartime history, as perpetrated against the former. When images of Jimin in the shirt went viral earlier this month, #Unforgiveable and #AtomicBomb began to trend on social media. In response, Japan TV Asahi’s Music Station program pulled the plug on BTS’ scheduled appearance for Friday. Lee Kwang Jae, the designer of the shirt, issued a statement after learning BTS had canceled their trip to Japan. Via Metro, he said, “I did not include that part to mock Japan. I did it to express the historic truth and timing that after the atomic bomb was detonated, Japan’s unconditional surrender led to independence. After I found out, I was very flustered and apologetic. I had no intention to promote anti-Japanese sentiment, and so I’m very sorry towards BTS.” Incidentally, the shirt has subsequently sold out. 16. After taking over seemingly every subway station billboard in America over the last several weeks, the CGI remake of The Grinch finally hits theaters today. In addition to a host of voice talent from the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Rashida Jones, and Kenan Thompson, the film also features original music from Danny Elfman and Tyler, the Creator. We previously heard the two collaborate on the theme song, and now Tyler is back with another new track, “I Am The Grinch”. On “I Am The Grinch”, the former Odd Future mastermind embodies the curmudgeonly, holiday-hating character, dropping lines like, “25 days got the lock with the chain at the door/ Don’t knock, no gifts over here.” Later, he calls out Santa himself, spitting, “Tell your homeboy in a red suit to chill/ Before I ban him from Whoville.” Fletcher Jones also features on the track, and you can take a listen to “I Am The Grinch” below. The Grinch is out now nationwide, along with its full original soundtrack. Tyler shared his latest album Flower Boy last year, though the last few months have seen the rollout of several brand new songs and freestyles. In addition, this year’s installment of the rapper’s Camp Flog Gnaw Festival will feature the live debut of Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s madly anticipated collaborative project Kids See Ghosts. Source
  17. Earlier this month, Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson told a reporter at Indie Power TV that, while his longtime band might not ever make any music together again, he’s still keeping busy. “I work with a lot of different people now…a great variety.” One of those “different people” has been revealed today. Drummer Marco Minnemann announced via his Facebook page that he’s been doing some writing and recording with Lifeson. “Working on a new collaborative release together with Rush’s Alex Lifeson,” the post reads. “Watch this space for more details to follow soon.” While Lifeson is a name that all heavy rock fans are familiar with, Minnemann is a figure best known to serious drummers and lovers of modern day prog. The German percussionist has released a bevy of solo albums since 1996 and has recorded with legends like King Crimson members Trey Gunn and Tony Levin. Minnemann, who now lives in San Diego, has also spent time on the road touring with Steven Wilson and the band U.K. These new recordings from Minnemann and Lifeson will be the second time that the pair have worked together. The guitarist co-wrote and performed on the song “On That Note,” which was released on the drummer’s most recent solo album, Borrego. Any new music from the guitarist should come as welcome news to Rush fans as Lifeson has said in the past that his band is “basically done”, with drummer Neil Peart apparently retired from music. However, singer-bassist Geddy Lee left the door open in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, saying that while while Rush will never tour as “Alex, Geddy, Neil” again, another incarnation is possible. As we’ve previously reported, Rush have remained in nostalgic mode, with the recent 40th anniversary re-release of their sixth studio album Hemispheres and a limited edition blue vinyl pressing of their masterpiece 2112. 18. Created by Mad Men mastermind Matthew Weiner, Amazon’s latest original series The Romanoffs debuted earlier this fall. Not only does the show boast a bevy of acting talent like Aaron Eckhart, Isabelle Huppert, and Christina Hendricks, but the soundtrack is equally star-studded as well. Tom Petty, Blondie, Kendrick Lamar, and more have contributed music to the show, and the most recent episode featured a brand new track by Regina Spektor called “Birdsong”. It’s fitting that a Russian immigrant like Spektor, whose last album was 2016’s Remember Us to Life, should pen a song for The Romanoffs. The anthology series follows several characters who all claim to be descendants of the Russian monarchical family. Spektor may not be the heir to a throne, but she’s certainly piano pop royalty. According to a press release, the collaboration between Spektor and Weiner came after the pair bonded at a pair of events, one honoring Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan and producer Shonda Rhimes, and another being the American Academy of Poets’ 2016 Poetry and the Creative Mind. Their shared love of poetry, music, the creative process, and Paul Simon appearance all led to Spektor creating the song for episode six of Weiner’s program, “Panorama”. Listen to the quick, beautiful “Birdsong” below. New episodes of The Romanoffs drop every Friday on Amazon Prime Video. Source
  19. Rejoice, Iron Maiden fans! The metal legends will return to North America for a new run of dates on their “Legacy of the Beast Tour” beginning in July, and the band is promising its “biggest production ever.” The arena and amphitheater tour kicks off July 18th in Sunrise, Florida, and runs through a September 25th show in San Antonio, Texas. It follows the band’s European trek, which played to sold-out venues this past summer. A full itinerary is listed below. Singer Bruce Dickinson commented, “We’re excited to return to North America and share the ‘Legacy Of The Beast Tour’ with all our friends there! We’re immensely proud of this show and we’ve had great reactions from the many fans who came to see us in Europe earlier this year. The production is based on our mobile game THE LEGACY OF THE BEAST, which basically takes various incarnations of Eddie into many different Maiden Worlds. This inspired us to put together a stage show to take our fans through different Worlds and experiences set to appropriate songs.” (Read: Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson Slams Rock & Roll Hall of Fame) Bassist Steve Harris added, “We gave a lot of thought to the set list for this Tour as the songs needed to follow the narrative of the changing worlds of the stage show. We feel we ended up with a very strong and well balanced set mixing songs we haven’t played in many years like ‘Flight of Icarus’, ‘Sign of The Cross’ and ‘The Clansman’ with songs we know the fans want to hear like ‘The Trooper’, ‘2 Minutes to Midnight’, ‘The Number of The Beast’, ‘Fear of The Dark’, ‘Run to The Hills’, ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’ and others, reflecting the journey through the different themes of the show.” The Raven Age will serve as support, with Fozzy joining the bill for the Los Angeles show on September 14th. Tickets go on sale November 16th to the general public, with pre-sales starting earlier for fan club members. You can also secure tickets here. 20. Today marks the release of Jeff Goldblum’s debut jazz album, The Capitol Studios Sessions, via Universal’s classic label Decca. Subscribers of Apple Music and Spotify can stream it below. Goldblum’s been playing jazz in New York and Los Angeles venues since the ’90s. Joined by his band, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, Goldblum pecks away at the piano while conjuring a playful variety show-style atmosphere. The Capitol Studio Sessions was recorded in Capitol’s A and B studios, which Goldblum transformed into an intimate dinner club. There, before a live audience, he and his band intermixed jazz standards with improvisational comedy. The album features production from Larry Klein (Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock) along with contributions from Irish superstar Imelda May (“Straighten Up & Fly Right)” and former American Idol standout Haley Reinhart (“My Baby Just Cares for Me”). Comedian Sarah Silverman also features on the 1920 classic “Me and My Shadow”, while Grammy-winning trumpetest Till Brönner appears throughout. “It’s thrilling,” Goldblum said in a recent interview with the Santa Barbara Independent. “I’m just delighted and surprised by it. It kind of just happened, not for any strategy or any dream of mine over the years. We played at first under the radar and kind of evolved organically, out of the pure enjoyment of it and the pleasure of playing. It became this other thing and now it’s developed into this, which feels just terrific.” The Capitol Studios Sessions Artwork: The Capitol Studios Sessions Tracklist: 01. Cantaloupe Island 02. 21. Twelve years ago, Eagles of Death Metal had the opportunity of a lifetime to open for Guns N’ Roses on a U.S. tour, but the sweet gig only lasted one concert, with Axl Rose mocking them as “Pigeons of Shit Metal” at the very first show, and then kicking them off the tour the very next day. Well, EoDM frontman Jesse Hughes hasn’t forgotten about that incident — really, who would? — and he has taken the monicker that Axl bestowed upon them and applied to the band’s new covers album, The Eagles of Death Metal Present Pigeons of Shit Metal, which, among other songs, contains a cover of Guns N’ Roses’ “It’s So Easy”. The infamous incident took place in November 2006 in Cleveland, where as the story goes, EoDM were getting booed and stormed off the stage without properly completing their set. Axl apparently wasn’t thrilled with the band’s reaction, telling the audience when GN’R hit the stage, “So how’d you like the Pigeons of Shit Metal? Don’t worry, that’s the last show they’re playing with us.” And true to his word, EoDM were fired from the tour. Hughes, meanwhile, told BraveWords in 2015 that he had reached out to Axl every year since the incident with an offer. He said, “Every year, since Axl Rose fired us from the tour, I have sent him a very sincere request — around Christmas time — inviting him to come in the studio and record two Christmas songs, and be released as ‘The Pigeons of Shit Metal.’ And I always close it with a very judgmental, ‘Because I want you to know Axl, I’m willing to forgive you, and I feel like the rest of the world is, too.’ So I think that final statement he probably doesn’t appreciate too much.” Cut to a dozen years after the firing, and EoDM have stamped Axl’s seal of non-approval on the new vinyl-only covers disc, which in addition to the GN’R track, also includes renditions of songs by AC/DC, The Ramones, The Pixies, and more. Eagles of Death Metal also cover three tunes by Queens of the Stone Age on the LP, interesting in the fact that QOTSA frontman Josh Homme plays drums in EoDM. The covers LP is available for pre-order via Last Hurrah Records, but it looks like the limited run of 500 copies is already sold out. See the full tracklist below. 22. Kanye West and Tekashi 6ix9ine were filming a video in Beverly Hills on Thursday night when gunfire erupted, according to TMZ. Police are investigating the incident, which occurred around 10:30 p.m. local time. At the time, Kanye and 6ix9ine were filming inside a Beverly Hills home. The suspect reportedly opened fire from their vehicle, firing off eight shots. One of the bullets went through a bedroom window, but no one was hurt, TMZ reports. Nicki Minaj was also to appear in the video, but she was not on set at the time of the shooting. Back in August, a similar incident occurred on the set of 6ix9ine’s music video with 50 Cent, as a drive-by-shooter opened fire on their production in Brooklyn. In July, 6ix9ine was allegedly kidnapped, assaulted, and robbed at gunpoint by three men who have yet to be apprehended. Last month, hours after 6ix9ine appeared in court for violating the terms of his probation, one of the rapper’s bodyguards was shot while standing outside a restaurant. It was later revealed that the rapper’s entourage had gotten into a confrontation with a private security guard, who fired the shots. For his role in the incident, 6ix9ine’s manager was charged with gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Source
  23. Elephante is crushing it in his own right, selling out shows from NYC to San Francisco, all the while creating and releasing incredible music. He’s just released a brand new album, featuring 16 remixes of his sophomore Glass Mansion EP, including spins from MOTi, Morgan Page, and one of my favorite duos, Anden. Anden has a knack for creating solid grooves and infectious melodies that hook you in. They are seasoned producers and DJ’s and together remixed Elephante’s “Have It All” in perfect progessive house fashion. The bass and drums drive the track as they wonderfully piece together the vocal sample on top, cementing this remix as an absolute hit both in your car and the clubs. 25. Maryland’s own IDK has let loose his new project, IDK & Friends. Stream it below via Apple Music or Spotify. The new collections comes a year after his first full-length, IWASVERYBAD, which featured the likes of DOOM, Del the Funky Homosapien, and Chief Keef. As its title implies, the project finds IDK teaming with seven of his closest collaborators for “raw and uncut” bars. Some of those special guests include: Denzel Curry, former Odd Future member Domo Gensis, Wale, Rico Nasty, and Maxo Kream. In a statement on Facebook, IDK explained how the “fire” and “clever” material on IDK & Friends is meant to tide fans over until next year, when he plans to drop what he calls his first and true “studio album”: “With all that being said, I don’t plan on releasing that until 2019, however I love my fans and supporters #HXLY and I love a lot of the music I’ve been sitting on/posting snippets of. The music you guys have been asking for, the music that was effortless for me to make. These are raw and uncut idk thoughts. I’ve done a lot of features with my friends and I feel like it would be a shame to let that music go to waste, so here it is. #IDKANDFRIENDS. This is in no way shape or form as deep as many of my previous projects as a whole, BUT I think each song is [fire] and gets the point across in a short amount of time. I don’t want anyone to have any expectations for this project. I don’t want it to be mistaken for my debut album. I took the time to work on my hooks and keep a level of simplicity in each track, but at the same time still keep it clever as usual. I just want y’all to enjoy the crank and play the fuck out of it while we wait for me to complete #ISHEREAL.” IDK & Friends Artwork: IDK & Friends Tracklist: 01. Poke Poke (feat. Thirty Rack) 02.
