- Always have a few directions you would like to go with your set, you never know what the crowd is gunna react to, so it's best to be prepared. - Watch your levels at all times. a good set can sometimes be as simple as playing it at the correct volume, you dont want to smash sound into the clubs limiters all night, especially on a hot night. - Step away from the decks once in a while and try and focus your attention on the ambience of the room, to see if it all sounds the way you'd like. Maybe the room has a real problem at around 100hZ, so you might need to back off the low's a bit. Or maybe your treble is really cutting through on a particular system. Either that or ask a friend to jsut walk around the room and give you an assessment of it.

I have the same one as wazza, fully recomend. Small, low latency, plug and play with MAC via firewire. cant go wrong really

that could be because you aren loading it onto the unit correctly. ensure you are using the correct syncing technique

yeah i know chev haha, i think I wrote it somewhere in the description that they render down. one of my examples, you can download, but i didnt want put the streetcleaner one as a download, until i asked him. Street... umm yeah it was ok... the bass in the reference was nothing like it was in your track. All out, it was a pretty cool little track man, i was pleasantly surprised

I've been playing for a fair while now, my opinion is, if you no how to beatmatch without any form of assistance, then it is fine to do what you've described. I mark my tracks with their BPMs. Trust me, very handy when you have to do a 5hr set...

If you want mastering, then send me a 44.1k/24bit wav, with no dithering at -4dB. Rendered from the master channel, with no plugins on the master channel. Just run the track over the loudest part, pull down your master fader until it peaks at 4-dB or quieter. And just generally make sure it's mixed as best as possible, make sure all parts are placed in their appropriate volume range. And don't be concerned if it sounds quiet and lifeless... that's what mastering does

There is a book called: 'Switching to MAC: The missing manual' i think its called. I read the first 30 pages or so one day, bloody awesome, so easy to read

I jsut checked my iTunes, said I had 790, so I reckon about 500 full length, full quality songs. All named and placed into the appropriate playlist, I started doing this about 5years ago. And i delete anything I dont like
