  1. Ok so I'm building a computer for myself and I was wondering if any of you had any hardware that you would suggest to get some good sound coming out (sound card, etc). So yeah just whatever you have used and liked or heard good things about. Thanks Chev.
  2. It wasn't bad, not hugely into it though but then again it could just be my personal hatred for the guy that leads me to feel this way
  3. What is Love - Barletta remix Proxy - who are you (REDIAL remix)
  4. To be honest I haven't heard of anything like that, maybe one of the sony products but I'm not sure. Chev.

  7. If any of you producers are looking for stuff to remix go here www.remixcomps.com It is a remix competition tracker, has a seriously large amount of comps on there, I get at least one email a day from them with new comps so yeah, get amongst it. Chev.
  8. My remix of Barletta's panther for the remix comp he is having. www.myspace.com/chevxchelios First time doin a fidgetish style. Feedback please, positive, negative, whatever floats your boat. Thanks Chev.
  9. Thanks Heaps. Loving the feedback guys
  10. Um do you mean the sidechain compression, that is by choice. It creates a nice pumping feel.
  11. Yeah thats it
  12. If your gonna get one, get a roland v-drum. Expensive but worth it, the cheaper brands are fun at the start but their modules are very limited and it can get frustrating and buying modules on their own is hard and expensive. Chev.
  13. Just uploaded a newer version to myspace. www.myspace.com/chevxchelios Eq'd, mixed, etc. Some random things in there that I didn't hear until I uploaded it, Ill fix those soon. Yeah, Keep feedbacking Chev.
  14. Like the Korg NanoPads but cheaper I guess. Akai has launched two miniature MIDI controllers in the shape of the LPK25 keyboard and the LPD8 pad controller. These will make their debut at this week's Summer NAMM show. It probably isn't too unfair to suggest that these have been at least partly inspired by the success of Korg's nanoSeries devices, but there are some noteworthy differences. For a start – and most importantly – the keys on the LPK25 are said to have a proper synth action, and they're velocity-sensitive. They're still mini- rather than full-sized, but this potentially makes them more playable than the laptop-style keys on Korg's nanoPad. Other features on the LPK25 include an arpeggiator and sustain, octave up/down and tap tempo controls. The LPD8 is said to be based on Akai's MPC range of grooveboxes and features eight blue light-up pads that are velocity-sensitive. It also comes with eight Q-Link knobs that can be assigned to parameters of your choosing. Evolution Both controllers come with four memory banks that can be used to store settings for different software. Each device is less than 13 inches wide and weighs less than a pound. Commenting on the launches, Akai Professional's Director of Business Development Adam Cohen said: "Today's music is in constant evolution, and that requires the tools for music creation to evolve similarly. "The computer has entrenched itself as the new core of the music studio, and we are now seeing more live performance with computers than ever before. The LPD8 and LPK25 are the perfect extensions of the computer for making music in any setting." Prices for the LPD8 and LPK25 haven't been confirmed, but they're expected to be released in the third quarter of 2009.

  21. Anybody else Come on
  22. When using side chain compression is it neccessary to use normal multi band compression after it has been sidechained. This is what I usually do and I just want to know if I'm waisting my time doing this. Chev.
  23. Thanks buddy I was tryin to get the same kind of sound as a sydney guy, REDIAL, you should check him out

  25. My latest track, still in progress. http://soundcloud.com/chevchelios It's a bit different to what I usually do so its not perfect. As yet it is not eq'd, compressed, mixed or anything just the raw track. To me it seems to be lacking energy in the chorus, anyone have any tips to improve on this. Thanks, Chev.
