Just mdf and ikea legs I got the idea off the internet where someone else had the same speakers and shaped to match. It helped having a friend who works as a cabinet maker he got the cuts just right I think all in all it was under $50 to build.

Ok I see you want a active sub if it was me I would be looking at possibly two smaller subs for better coverage in a any given venue. A 21 inch active sub will weight a ton too and I am guessing your the roadie and dj as well I would rather lug tow smaller subs up stairs etc rather than one massive one.

I would have fought a 21 inch sub would be a pain to move around also the replacement drivers would be hell expensive. I am sure that is the main reason 15 and 18 inch subs are so common are you going passive or active because there lots of great plans out there for diy sub box's. As to current sub you have I would not worry about the small scuffs more the damage you show on the edge of the unit I would be trying to repair that.

half way through making some speakers stands for my dads man cave, the shape was cut to suit the wharfdale speakers which will be sitting on them.

PM me But Looking for Good Seventies laid back tunes you can't go by David Bowie (Soul, Funk Era) think Young Americans Steve Wonder Innervisions Al Green anything pre eighties Barry Whites band the Love unlimited orchestra ( check out midnight groove) Any instrumental album's by James Brown i.e all the J.B's records Parliament/ Funkadelic Blue Note have put out a bunch of good soul funk comps of stuff which has been sampled. These are always good because even if the crowd has not heard the tune they will know the sample. Mix tape wise dj shadow brainfreeze is a killer funk soul mash up. That's off the top of my head and it's only really the big names, I will have to go digging through my records for more tonight.
