  1. mate, give me 2-3 weeks to get new speakers and lights (currently en shipping route) and i'll get a sexy pic up from my mates 21st.
  2. Has anyone heard of such a thing that i could use to automatically correct the volume level for a microphone signal? At weddings, presentation nights, etc, you get some annoying people who talk loudly, softly, etc. I suppose it would be the equivalent of a compressor/limiter but for high level signals. All help appreciated!

  4. Sorry guys, sold them this evening!
  5. i'd be happy to but i think the cost of postage (it would have to be a courier) would be quite large. they're unpowered, require an external amp and appropriate crossover to power them and ensure they only play bass.
  6. awesome just remember that those amps they have at jaycar are super-average, strapping the subs up to a proper P.A. amplifier will yeild much heavier bass!
  7. ah yeah, well best of luck with it az, i'm sure you'll be there in no time.
  8. How come you're selling az? i am sure it has been mentioned elsewhere but yeah?
  9. That's insane. Good work. Keep it up. I hope to expand my business to more production oriented in the future too!
  10. it could be at any and all components on that channel. You should contact alto for the circut diagram and get an electrotech to test at various points.
  11. http://www.kosmic.com.au/DJ/BEHRINGER/4 ... +Pro+Mixer thoughts?
  12. *bump* whole pack for $200 or subs for 75 each and crossover for 100 individually. I need to clear out the storage space!
  13. phwoah. don't think i'll be able to afford that without sellng my car
  14. yeah baby. what is it and how much?
  15. ah like a 1u mic mixer? i hadnt thought of that. i'll investigate thanks heaps!
  16. really? I've had good experiences with numark generally...
  17. what do you guys reckon of tbhis? https://www.storedj.com.au/products/NUM-IM9
  18. These are the ones: http://jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID ... rm=KEYWORD I see they have dropped in price a little since i bought them. They have a little bit of wear and tear but i put plastic corner protectors on all of the corners to protect them. The wood isn't damaged except for one screw missing out of one of the subwoofer top hats. They are 4 ohms each, and I run them on an amp that has 425 watts RMS (at 4 ohms) per channel. Basically they max the amp out and are still hungry for more power! You could go down the path like DJaz has done and got one of those spankin' new behringer EPX3000 amps and run these babies off one channel and your tops off the other. As with all PA subs that don't cost $2k, they aren't gonna give you rattling pendulum basss like a car sub will, but they will certainly give you extra doof on your bass drum and heaps of upper bottom end. They also replace the bass that you lose by putting your tops on stands. I used to use them for school gigs, etc, before i bought an active sub.
  19. ah, thanks for the advice. The mic inputs were exactly what i was considering buying it for.
  20. Selling a Peavey Q215 Equaliser. 2 RU, 15 band, 2 channel. TRS (1/4 Jack) In and outs. Powered via standard IEC cable. Two of the sliders have snapped off on right channel (4 and 6.4KHZ) but are still adjustable with your finger. As you can see, important adjustments such as bass and high treble are still in great cond. (EQ pictured in bottom) As such, seeking $50 ono. Am happy to film working demonstration and post at buyer's cost. dpillar@iinet.net.au or PM! P.S. Am also selling 3/4 way active crossover pictured middle for $100.
  21. Got 2x 12 inch PA subs for sale. Would also be good as bass guitar backups if you've got a 5-stringer. Passive, 400w RMS, 1200 peak, in decent condition. looking for $100 each or $170 for both. They cost me around $250 each new. More than happy to set them up for you if you want to hear em for yourself. Got an active crossover (3/4 way) that i'll sell for $100 (bought for $250) or do the whole pack for $250. Anyone in perth / willing to pay for a courier can take advantage of this to really boost the bass in your setup. PM Me / dpillar@iinet.net.au .

    wedding tips

i'm working on a 'wedding tips' blog on my new website - feel free to steal ideas. www.sonicdjs.com.au/weddingtips also, i'd suggest taking as many requests from the bride and groom as possible so you can tailor the 'background' music to their taste. they'll appreciate it. also, there's a 'wedding songs' playlist somewhere in here, have a browes and im sure you'll come across it. i think it was called the ulitamte playlist game..
  23. fml that's a sexy beast. thta would save so many hours of plugging in cables etc every gig. is it heavy? (rhetorical) also, how do you find your mixer? is it decent? I'm considering buying one of the same. in particular are the sliders too light to be used seriously or is the lack of resistance ok.
  24. thats what she said (sorry, couldnt resist, have been watchin the office) I had a similar situation in my first two sedans (1971 HQ / VT Comm) so i upgraded to a wagon. And then, thanks to the hailstorm, i got 75% of the value of the car back in cash and it's still insured for the same amound.
  25. You can't compare it to more expensive brands but i spose that's in the price.
