yeh am using pretty good quailty CD's what im going to do is mix with CD's but also have My 2 USB/Drives Plugged in for quick/emergency searches like if i quickly remember a great song to mix the current song with and dont have time to search my wallet and tracklists.....or if i get a request i can look through my USB easier then CD's

yeh it makes sense to me if your writing on the CD's but ive printed tracklists to sit in the CD slots so just added around 20 songs

yeh its like unnoticeable really, have given them a good dust and added my own scrap bits of paper under the plastic bits on the platter LOL and for the last 2 hours ive been burning playlist onto CD's with tracklists n shit LOL loving it

i do something similar with packing my car and leads bag pack things on top that are needed 1st eg table n decks 1 for car, power boards n extension leads for bag alot quicker rather then pulling all my leads out to get to a powerboard or something n the same with the car

im just burning to some cheap to mid price range CD-R's and i have no idea what my burner is....its the built in burner in my Toshiba Satellite laptop.... and when i used itunes to burn i just set it at x4 speed i just remember people talking about burning n saying shit like burn at 256k or something.... if that helps...

Yeh but your getting payed for your skill mobile DJing at the moment so I'm basicly getting payed for the use of my speakers really lol but the skill will build hopefully

I've often seen many of you guys mention different audio quality's to burn CD's at but don't know the difference (standard 20 song non-MP3 CD) is there Certain way I should be doing this or is using Itunes to burn a 20 song playlist fine? Cheers

So after much Brain racking and paranoia i finally got my new decks they are in amazing condition. 1 tiny rub mark on top of the mixer and thats it, ive tried all most every button and they are all working, the platters spin pretty good, i have never used any other platters before but they seem good.... the only thing thats worrying me is the left decks fader seems the "tinyest" bit stiffer then when you slide the the right decks, you probly wouldnt notice unless you were as paranoid and obsessive like me though (both faders are changing the BMP and the same %/Rate that i can tell)....anyone else have that? have watched many videos on youtube on how to check used gear and its all passed the tests have only had a 20 min play and im pretty rubbish so far on them but yeh what can u expect will hit up some pics tomorro after noon and possible update my full Set up there in Mobile DJ's as i havent showed the newest speaker and light n shit sorry for the long read, just had to share

yeh buying the big names brands i guess you can have alot more trust it build quality otherwise they wouldnt be big brands but yeh ive got a case and everything so dust shouldnt be a problem

ok so you dont have to fuck around with an amp like i did, your better off getting powered speakers may cost more but just less of a hassle 2 cheap 12"'s 2 ways will be the the best you will get for a cheap budget i have 1 of these dude and for $150 including postage its great, if you can find something powered n cheaper then good luck http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0651029485 (unfortunately looks like he is sold out at the moment, but may find something similar) 1 of the other members also has 1 of these speakers and has given them a good rap for the price, i think it may have been FabDJ.... and if thats to expensive or not what you want then your other option is a good HiFi stereo because an amp and 2 passive speakers will probly cost your more then 2 of those ebay speakers... hope this helps
