sounds good, so basicly connection A running the speakers and connection B running the sub, but then there will only be 85 odd watts running to each speaker from connection A and 175 watts running to from connection B to the sub would there be a way to leave the speakers running off each connection and split the sub wires so 1 wire runs off A and 1 off B? because if both ways work, i could easily do both and find which sounds best

so ive got my speakers, amp arives tomorro, waiting on some cheap lighting to arrive in the mail, and then im set for mobile DJing ....accept, like many of you, i love bass, it can make or break a party/club so in around 2 weeks i will have enough money to purchase 1, after browsing its hard to find a passive 15" sub under 250-300 bucks, even on ebay.... but i have found this, and it seems to be an actual brand, that sponsors events and seems to be proud of their product http://www.kam.co.uk/index.php?action=p ... uct_id=293 its says 120 euro's, but i can get it for $140 Aus, deal or no deal? my question is, will my amp be enough to power it, and the amp only has A & B outputs, so how would i connect it? http://www.djcity.com.au/products/spl-5 ... _1526.html and can i say this forum has helped be 100 times more then the other 2 sites i joined and have since deleted cheers!!!!

so ive been reading threw the mobile DJ section and there are alot of mentions of DJ licensing and im starting to get worried as i dont have 1 what does it mean and where to get 1? also, doing house parties im guessing you dont need a license correct? just venue's? cheers

will ask them about some sort of protection with that lol but they dont know im getting my amp elsewhere's as im still protending to be considering there amp because i want a better deal if i can get it LOL i kid you not, this jaycar guy is still old school then, i had to lift the speakers down from shelving as he has pulled his shoulder "throwing a ball" and cant lift very nice bloke though

so ive got a gig coming up for an open house party, still a good month n a half away, what are some good ways to promote the party and my DJ-ing and get people coming to the party? also for future promoting cheers!

ok very glad i got the better amp posted instead of the less powerfull from the speaker store, have literaly got about $20 to my name for about 3-4 weeks as im in debt, running at 120 watt max each speaker would be to loud i hope anyway, will look into the compressor thanks

when i change the name in itunes it changes the file name and artist etc in the c drive folder then its all good to go for VDJ traktor ableton etc... thats as basic as it gets though lol

yeh was really happy with the find on the amp as i was going to pay the same amount for a 2x80w lol amp is on the truck from VIC now, speakers arive at the store thursday will update the thread once i get the bad girls home

yeh will be just mixing in my house n getting used to them before hammering the volume anyway nope, was about $580 all up so it should be all good, chances of getting anything cheaper were slim so im happy

so if u read my earlier thread i am getting my 1st mobile DJ set on a $500-$600 Budget.... ACHIEVED! i have decided on these speakers, from a local store http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... BCATID=605 and i was going with a 2x80w amp but have found a much more powerfull one for the same price from a store in melbourn(store i got my RMX from) http://www.djcity.com.au/products/spl-5 ... _1526.html my question is though, because the speakers are 120w each, there is no harm in the amp having a fair bit more power is there? REASON; i want the better amp because i will need to upgrade speakers later on and if i still have a powerfull enough amp then i wont need to upgrade it

So I updated to the latest traktor version, have updated my rmx drivers, have tried a new set of mappings, still nothing, I think the mapps are working but because it the controller settings were it keeps diverting back to keyboard on won't stay on rmx it won't save... Suggestions? So for now it's still vdj until I get traktor running

Will it matter thY the mapper are built for earlier versions?

so after many people telling me to get Traktor i did and its quickly growing on me but im having touble setting up the RMX and its mapping, ive read forums guide's and downloaded mappings from all over the net but i think my main problem is, in the settings of traktor pro 1.2.1 under controller manager it picks up the RMX and u can select it under device and in-port and out-port, but once u choose that all and exit settings only half the buttons work.... the controller controls some and the keyboard on my laptop controls some so when i go back into settings its reverted back to generic keyboard and will not save on the RMX please help and i like the look of these custom mappings so these are the ones i wont, there is a download link in the description for them

so i went to my local shop, they have jaycar/digitech speakers but a decent pack will cost me about $640 but this is where i got my Hercules RMX from http://www.djcity.com.au/packages/speaker-packs_70.html out of those packs, which would be the best for medium house parties? remember budget is $500-600 prefereably including postage, my postcode = 4655 thanks for all the help lads !
