hi i have some unknown brand german "reloops" i want to get some digital like serato/or traktor.. or whatever. i want to be able to plug my 2 cd players + mixer into it and then into computer/laptop.

http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/dj ... -pack.html

BUT all i really want is to be able to use music from my computer/laptop.

i dont want to map anything. all i want to do is to be able to drag my music onto the turntable on screen. and then use all the functions on my cd player or something like this..

overall i want to use music from computer/laptop and dont want to map anything..

thanks :D

no I don't work for mixvibes

I'm a mixvibes user , have been for 3 year

started with DVS 6 & now use the DVS producer...

I now beta tester for mixvibes ...so i'm testing VFX & Cross with time code vinly on my Vestax PDX turntables & time code C.D's on my CDJ 1000 & midi with my midi controllers

not bad for someone who 4 year's ago had not touch a pc in there live..

as for a good price...I see what I can do

I love my mixvibes 7 producer

but I say go for the CROSS pac..

in the cross pac you get two v2 time code vinly

two HD time code C.D's the Cross software & the mixvibes U46 mk2 sound card (4 in-puts 6 out-puts ] + others shit...all software up-dates for Cross are free...

here in OZ cross pac is $550...

http://www.djcity.com.au/products/cross-pack_1485.html

same price is Traktor scratch Duo...$200 cheeper the traktor scratch pro

$200 cheeper than Serato SL 1 pac..

$300 cheeper than Serato SL 3

cross is the future off mixvibes..& and in a years time will have everything 7 Producer has & more

CROSS FILL software only [ Time code vinly / C.D's control & midi control ]...& Cross d.j is midi only ...[no time code vinly control ]

CROSS PAC is cross fill with everything you need like sound card

YES; all up dates are FREE if you get from E-BAY SHOP

this is why I went with mixvibes 4 years ago

CROSS like DVS7 like PRODUER are all open DVS...so you can use any 4 input , & 4 output sound that run ASIO drivers you like...I use the EDIROL FA 66 FireWire sound card

it has 6 in-put & 6 output & midi in & out

......shit all over USB cards

I also have a ESI U46dj USB it has 4 inputs & 6 outputs ...

you can set it up as CHEEP [ maya 44 sound card or U-mix 44 ] or as EXPENSIVE [ RME fireFace 800 or EDIROL FA101 ] as you like

there are 100 off other sound cards you can use

if you don't need the time code vinly

just look on e-bay for a good , cheep sound card & buy the time code C.D's as spear's

dont know if if i can get it cheep for you ....trying to get a new VFX controller from mixvibes for me

oh yeah and in terms of reloop, its bigg in germany and known in netherlands (seen it in several forums).

no idea about their controllers but i have the iq2 mixer. its sweet as. faders are smooth as. the effects are awesome and simple (the cross fader effects are stupid). i have played with an older pioneer (not sure which one but it had 4 channels), and the iq2 faders killed it, and effects much easier to use.

downside which i kick myself often, only 2 channels!. and no reversible cross fade switch (not that id ever use it, but just in case qbert ever visited... ha ha)

haha

yeah i have the reloops its pretty decent but i cant compare to anything else because havent gotten to play with anything else

http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/ ... /?page=931

found the chart:) thanks. i dont know what to get.. i dont really want to spend that much

i dont think i need serato.. price seems to outrageous. traktor is pretty much the same.. the CROSS looks decent.. if i do consider traktor what should i get if im only using it for CDplayers? audio 4? or 8?

hey man sorry as i said ill only be lurking for this month.

wazza's ya man for Cross,

but in terms of traktor:

* go the audio 8 because you can record, and in case you ever want to add somehting else (i run two tt's and i added an mpd)

* you'll need traktor scratch for time control

* in terms of yer other q about free software. no its a license string thang. so you can run the program without the NI sound cards (unlike serato), but only in internal mode.

but note time code won't work without official NI sound cards or official cntroller/ mixer

yer in syd right, store dj grand (re)opening sale at stanmore this w/e. may be able to get a bargain!
