The Dusk Lounge is hosting the annual So you think you can mix DJ Competition commencing Friday May 7th, 2010.We're looking for perths newest wannabe and upcoming DJ's - and offering a huge prize pack for the winner. The grand final winner will take home a voucher for $1000 to spend at the DJ Factory, plus we'll fly the winner to Bali for a weekend to be an international guest DJ on the top floor of Bali's famous Sky Garden Lounge Bar overlooking Kuta, and the kind rep at Southern Comfort has even thrown $200 spending money!!!The competition will be held on Friday nights throughout May, with the 1st heat kicking off at 9.30pm on Friday May 7th. We will be choosing 6 upcoming DJ's per heat to compete, and each DJ will have 20-25mins to show us your stuff. The experts at the DJ Factory will be judging on the night, to sort out the men from the boys, and the 2 best mixes on the night will go thru to the grand final on the 28th of May, to rinse it out for the grand prize.Not only that, but the winning entrant will get their very own spead in the Xpress magazine after the compettiton, so this could mean some big opportunities for the winner!!!The Heats are as follows: Heat 1 - Friday May 7th starts at 9.30pm, Heat 2- Friday May 14th, Heat 3 - Friday May 21st, Grand Final - Friday May 28th, 2010.If you'd like to enter, heres what ya need to know:Please submit your entry via email to dusk@kumbaya.com.au attn: jason, with a quick bio about yourself, how long you've been mixing, why you want to win, include a photo of yourself, and include a short mix, or link to a mix that you've done so we can chuck all the details up on our website to build hype for the gig! georgie Posted July 13, 2010 Share Posted July 13, 2010 perth is good !! i have lived in sydney bris e and the goldie and now perth.it has less drugs than all those places. perth has alot of shit dj's its a shame some reall cool bars but u need to really b in the know to get a gig in them i am tryin to get some gigs at the mo and its not easy......
